no offense, but it just seemed like you were using the preseason as an excuse for not finishing those chances. i understand some players are a little rusty, but cmon...

Neither of those were golden chances. The first with the keeper charging and a defender on his back was tough. He probably opened his foot and showed his hand too early, but that's why I say it's rust. The other was in traffic and even though he seemed to hit the only guy near the net, it was a quick poke.

I'm not trying to say that people can't criticize the players, but it's a bit unfair to say that because A-Rod hit .174 in Spring Training, he sucks.

there's gotta be a way for a captain to talk to an official without getting a yellow. Gallas pisses me off sometimes.

Walcott and Van Persie keep on arguing while that ajaxplayer is down. Any bad blood between them or just frustration?

Kolo must have been watching a Kid 'n' Play movie before he got that cut.:p
I was thinking it was more of a De La Soul thing. ;)

Why was Gallas carded?

Probably just frustration, everyone is frustrated by Walcotts crossing right now.

Probably's just Walcott's grown up now and got himself some attitude that old man van Persie doesn't quite like.

On that last break Walcott took it up the middle and cut right instead of dropping it to an unmarked RvP. I think Robin is giving him the veteran's talk.

have we won anything since we signed Eboue?
have we won anything since we signed Adebayor?

or Sagna?

or Denilson?

since Cesc and Clichy became regular first teamers?

Really? We must see the game differently becasue I always think that a one on one with the keeper is a golden chance. I also think 95% of the time you should score when you are within the six yard box and have a direct shot to goal. I would blame rust, but he has always lacked composure in front of goal, so it looks like more of the same. But maybe, it is me. He still probably will score in the game because it seems like that is the way he works.

Ajax is just abusing us. We look on the verge of implosion, albeit preseason implosion. Gallas better earn his paycheck after this one and captain the side.
