I'm thinking something similar, though I rate Blackburn and despite losing Bentley I really think they'll do better than that, swap Blackburn with Boro and Boro with Sunderland, and perhaps switch Fulham with Bolton - I do think the Elmander signing should help them, especially if he does decently, and I think they'll do a little better this year. Hm, I don't know where to put Fulham, while I doubt they'll get relegated, I also doubt that all 3 promoted will get relegated. Swap City/Villa. So my table -
1. Chelsea
2. Man Utd
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Everton
6. Villa
7. Man City
8. Spurs
9. Pompey
10. Blackburn
11. Newcastle
12. West Ham
13. Middlesbrough
14. Wigan
15. Bolton
16, Sunderland
17. West Brom
18. Fulham?
19. Stoke
20. Hull
Just my opinion, critics are welcome :D:p

all pretty close so far
thanks for the responses
only blackjack has a different team in the top 4
I really think things will tighter at the top this year and the battle for the UEFA spots could be very tasty indeed.

Spurs in 4th blackjack? That's a bit steep for them and given that they've lost Chimbonda, Malbranque, and Keane so far they're going to have a fight. Their defense has yet and do I mean yet to be sorted out and they've lost plenty of goals in Robbie Keane due to him going off to Pool.
As for some of the Champions League picks? Barcelona? Real Madrid? La Liga and Serie A are down. Barca is in a complete rebuilding process (Their manager has never even managed at a senior level before!), Madrid's defense is poor and they were beaten by a Roma side whose defense is not going to be helped by John Arne Riise arriving. The other Spanish side (Villarreal) is crap without Riquelme in the CL.
Regarding Serie A being in there, Juve being in it is not going to inspire fear in me (Look who's managing them), Inter are a unknown thing but I'm not writing them out given that Jose is managing them, and Milan are not even in it this year! Fiorentina aren't exactly the second coming of them either! As for Roma, they've lost some of their firepower in Mancini (Which is a yay for me!) and their defense is poor and it sure as hell isn't going to be helped by John Arne Riise.

Spurs may have some weaknesses, but so do L’arsénal. With Eduardo out for the first half at least, they might be lacking for goals if Adebayor struggles even a little bit. They've lost Flamini and have done very little to replace him with a battling, ball-winning midfielder. Nasri has been their only real summer signing, and although a good player he's also liable to get hurt every time he plays. Their central defense is weak once you get past Gallas and Toure, and I think that they'll have at least one really poor run this season that may cost them a CL spot.

Spurs may have some weaknesses, but so do L’arsénal.
Yes they do, but they are not as glaring as Spurs.
With Eduardo out for the first half at least, they might be lacking for goals if Adebayor struggles even a little bit.
You do realize that they have Van Persie, Vela, Walcott, and Bendtner who can play there, and barring any injuries and taking out the whole adjustment thing on paper that's quite deadly.
They've lost Flamini and have done very little to replace him with a battling, ball-winning midfielder.
Flamini is not that good. He had one good season but before that I remember him as a headless chicken. They have Diaby and Denilson who can play at the holding role.
Nasri has been their only real summer signing, and although a good player he's also liable to get hurt every time he plays.
They also signed Amaury Bischoff.
Their central defense is weak once you get past Gallas and Toure,

and I think that they'll have at least one really poor run this season that may cost them a CL spot.
Maybe, maybe not. Like I stated, Spurs lost a lot and I mean a lot of firepower.

Your points are all good. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I still think that Arse might finish outside the top four this season.

Okay, Tottenham 14th? I'd love to see that happen but it sure seems unlikely to me.

I have them a little higher and though I think Ramos is a decent manager, only 3 teams gave up more goals than their 61 and their defence has not improved much if at all, nor become less brittle and may be even less deep, so I think that keeps them out of the UEFA spots battle and perhaps as low as 14th or 15th if they do not buy quality defenders quick and their's go injured as often as they have done...

The 5th through 12th teams are quite strong and very even these days. There are going to be a couple very good sides finishing in the bottom half.
