After what I've seen in the friendly against Glasgow Rangers, I'm not surprised that the 18-year old talent Gündogan (German U19 national player signed from Bochum) is in the 'starting eleven'! Very fast & tricky player with a great shot...
About the game: It's time for revenge against Schalke, isn't it? ;) Anybody remembers the result of the last 1 BL game for FCN? :-)

Thank you for sharing Borussia!
I was there last year for the season opener and I'll be there again in a couple weeks for the Hannover 96 game!
Back in 1986, I got to see the Scorpions, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Warlock, & MSG play over in Zepplinfield (aka Soldier's Field). This was the last year Monster's of Rock played there! Great times!!
I was there for that concert myself.

I just saw that and I am disappointed myself. I used to be able to get it on the Internet, but I lost the website. Maybe I'll be able to recover it when I go to my backup hard drive again.
What area of the US are you in? I live in Florida.

At least we know that Der Club can snatch a point or two on the road 0-0 in Stuttgart, now if they only could bag all 3 points at home that would be a great way to not get relegated this season. Der Clubs next match is at home against Borussia M. on Saturday 12 Sept at 1530 hrs local.
Here was the starting lineup and subs for the match against Stuttgart:
Schäfer - Diekmeier, Wolf, Maroh, Pinola, Nordtveit - Risse, Kluge (66. Juri Judt), Mintal, Vidosic (90. Thomas Broich) - Charisteas (63. Christian Eigler)
Subs-Broich, Gygax, Gündogan, Judt, Bunjaku, Stephan, Eigler

In other news Der Club signed the 20 year old German-Cameroon player Maxim Choupo Moting who was with Hamburg to a one year contract with an extension clause.

FCN captain Andreas Wolf has been suspended for two Bundesliga matches by the DFB for a red card he got in a test match against Bohemians Prague.
Apparently, he was fouled by a Prague player with the opponent's foot coming near Wolf's twice operated on knee.
Wolf apparently got pissed off and head-butted the guy, giving the match referee no choice but to show the red card.
Wolf has also been suspended for FCN's next three test matches.
Click here (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/514237/artikel_Club-Kapitaen-Wolf-gesperrt.html) for the Kicker.de report.

I was there for that concert myself.
Good times indeed!!!
Well my wife and I just returned late last Thursday from our Germany vacation and we had the pleasure of seeing the 96er game from the NordKurve, Block 11! Yes 1.FCN lost, but the atmosphere rocked!!! I was showing some buddies from work the pre-game partying near the stadium and they all said that our Football Tail Gate parties are nothing compare to how the FCN fans throw down!
BTW BillPaul I'm in Florida too, near Tampa and yes check out that site myp2p.eu I watched most of last years games from there!

My ex-wife just flew back to Nürnberg a couple of weeks ago. I really wish I could have gone with her, but that's not in the cards.
I'm definitely going to be checking it out again, but unfortunately I never get up in time to watch the games on the computer. Envoys up too late.

Nürnberg/Fürth has changed a lot since the 80s & 90s. No GIs! There are some still in Illesheim, Katterbach, and I think in Ansbach too, but that's it from what I understand. As for watching the games, you should join ClubTV and watch them that way. Just don't look at the scoreboard and it'll seem like a LIVE game. I've watched a few that way too.

To the north, we're still in Bamberg.
A bit further east, we are still in Grafenwöhr and Vilseck.
To the south, we're still in Hohenfels.
And a bit further north of Bamberg, we are still in Schweinfurt.
Quite a few young GIs still make their way to downtown Nürnberg on the weekend.
It isn't nearly as much as in the old days of course. Also, the soldiers are deployed so much these days, their presence isn't felt anywhere like it used to be save for Graf/Vilseck/Hohenfels......

Dortmund just started the same type of service. I would recommend them to anyone. If you love the game and your club enough, the prices for these services are well worth the money.
With the current exchange rate, Dortmund's is a bit over $50 per year. Not per month, per year.
I'd pay that to be able to watch any of my club's matches I want on-line.

I am familiar with all of the changes because my ex-wife still lives in the apartment I lived in when I was stationed in Nürnberg. I'll never make it back because of the accessibility issue. I'm a quadriplegic and therefore am unable to go to many of the places I used to enjoy.
I'll have to think about the club TV. I'm really upset that they're not showing the game this weekend especially considering or plan FC Bayern. I guess only people who were from Nürnberg know how much we despise that team.

Wow..look at the Floridians representing in the Bundesliga thread.
I usually listen to the matches on bronline.de. I just like to listen to Heute Im Stadion. However, www.atdhe.net tends to stream many Liga matches.

I was all set to watch this game one clubTV, but they didn't have it on the website.
Thankfully GolTV is scheduled to show Friday's game, so all Americans who have access to that channel will be able to watch the club in action.
I thought they performed pretty well against Bayern, given how overmatched they were.
