Yet another poor effort against Dortmund. The first half was someone acceptable, the second half was a continuation of all the recent homegames. Every game, the simply stop playing in the second half if they have the lead. It doesn't happen on the road, because they simply never get the lead, but it's getting increasingly worse at home. This cost so many points under Doll and Stevens...

Yes, all true, but I still would like to congratulate you guys on the victory.

I don't know how the referee could miss out two blatant fouls just before the end of the game. One just outside the box and one inside the box.

IMO, a lucky win by Hertha.

Lucky win for Hertha from what I saw (~60min), but with positions #4-#6 we're probably now where we "belong" this season unless Jansen/Thiago Neves start showing their worth. I'm not particularly worried about slipping down much further.

As for the goals against I can only repeat I don't "ever" want to see Marcell Jansen again. He is just catastrophic.

Superb goal by Petric. Jelic's for Cottbus was even better. Same type of shot, but from further out.

1-1 Diego, goalie should of had it. Wasn't that tough to save honestly off the FK.

That's really so easy to say watching it on TV or on a computer, isn't it?

From what I saw, Wiese did everything right. His defense just slept on him.

how were his defence meant to cover teh near post?

Did you see the initial save? It was a tough one. There was no one there to clear the ball. If a defender had been where he was supposed to be, covering his keeper on a tough save, the ball would have been cleared instead of bouncing to a wide-open Guerrero who beat a recovering Wiese while Wiese's f#cking defense stood and watched.

I hope that wasn't too deep for you.

What a derby winner goal from Olic! Simply superb!!!

However, some of the HSV fans are idiots. You can be happy that Baumann is a tough guy ... if not, HSV might have been faced a more severe punishment than just a heavy financial fine.

yeah or he could have turned it around the post...it only takes soft hands to do that. If it fails, there is no difference in this situation between palming it forward softly or hard.

the defence was covering the middle, wiese should have guarded against the direct shot to the near post more than he was

You've got to be f#cking kidding me. "Soft hands?" Turn a low, hard shot like that around the post?

I'm sorry squid, but to me those comments are no less than idiotic. Those comments would be typical of someone who doesn't know the game.

Wiese did great to simply make the f#cking stop. That f#cking shot was too low and hard to turn around the post. Wiese did his part. His defense has to support him in clearing the ball. They did not.

And since when does it take EVERYONE in f#cking defense to "cover the middle" squid? What the f#ck are you talking about??

Where was his left back? Where was Tosic on that play?? Was he "covering the middle" too?

Is that his f#cking job squid???

If I'm a coach and my defense hangs my keeper out to dry like that, the left back and both central defenders are all running until they f#cking puke after the match.

These idiotic standards some of you have for Bundesliga goalkeepers are nothing short of astounding to me.

Anyone who's ever played the position or learned enough about the game knows Wiese made a nice save on that play and got hung out to dry by his defense.

Taking it away from just my opinion, maybe this is why Kicker rated Wiese highest on the Bremen team along with Frings and Diego. All got a 2.5.

Goalkeepers don't get 2.5s from kicker if they are responsible for goals squid.

Tosic, Bremen's left back, got a 4.5. I have no doubt part of that was because he left his f#cking keeper hanging out to dry on that first goal.

Is Kicker the be all and end all of football opinions? No.

But it isn't my opinion or yours they are posting, is it???

Just a few hours before tonight's UEFA Cup game between HSV & Ajax, hooligans from Amsterdam caused huge trouble by attacking diverse shops, bars and police forces ... so the famous Reeperbahn had to be completely closed.

Scum of the earth, trying to make football ugly.

0:1 home defeat in a rather mediocre game due to a late Ajax goal.

I think that HSV can be lucky to be in a group with Zilina & Slavia Prague...

Der Rädelführer Daan v.d.F. (25), der bei Ajax lebenslanges Stadionverbot hat, konnte in einem Lokal festgenommen werden.

LOL :D
