And Olic misses an open net shot, jesus!!! Are you kidding me?
olic missing an open net is no surprise to me..you will be seeing some of that next year at your club..:) im still scratching my head on how he hit the crossbar against turkey on a wide open net with no pressure on him at all..:(

Still everything possible. Hamburg must score in the returning leg,
but if you Gala comes into trouble.

1-1 FT
Those huge chances missed at the end could really cost HSV, they should have won the match, and probably should have taken advantage of playing against ten men better.
A pity really, it is going to be tough to advance now, we all know how strong Galatasaray are at home. Still, nothing lost yet, hope they can prevail in Istanbul.
Forget about attitude, that's a good-bye for Hamburg once they enter the devil's dick in Istanbul.

Just like it was for Leverkusen a while ago I guess?
Nothing lost yet, but the result today could have, and probably should have, been better.

Yes. Benjamin hit the bar earlier, but HSV really should increase the pressure more, that has been rather disappointing so far. Galatasaray are playing clever though.
Actually, didn't the defender on the line head that Benjamin shot into the crossbar? That's what I saw........

Yes, Benjamin would have scored if the defender hadn't deflected the shot a little.

I think it´s still open.
Their home match was already an away match considering all the Turks there, who supported their team very fanatic. Chances for Hamburg 40-60.

Mladen Petric will be out for 5-6 weeks (injury).

Bye bye Hamburg, lets hope Bremen don't crash out either now.

Good luck for the important and tough game in Istanbul (where you have to score at least one goal).
Unfortunately, Petric and Trochowski will have to miss the game due to injury.

HSV started good, but doesn´t create pressure.
Gala makes it clever, they have a save passing game
and have from time to time a small chances. 3 minutes
before HT they went 1-0 in front through a penalty.
The scenario stays the same for Hamburg, they must score
or are out of the UEFA-cup.
edit:
Gala now on fire. 2-0 by Baros. And with some further chances.

Guerrero with a dream goal - distance shot. New hope, 2-1.

And another sunday shot by Guerrero 2-2.
That´s football, the guy was the worst player on the pitch for 60 minutes
and then he starts a firework.

Damn. the stream I'm watching (Chinese) lost the feed and HSV equalized while they were still talking in the studio.
Curiously, uefa.com (http://www.uefa.com/live/competitions/uefacup/matchday=9/day=2/match=-1/index.html) has Pitroipa scoring HSV's first and Guerrero the second.

Olic beats the offside trap to put Hamburg through to the quarters!
Great comeback after being two goals down. Well done.

Like I said, nothing had been lost. Never underestimate the Stellinger, we know them best. :D
Great, great performance tonight. Coming back from a 0-2 in Istanbul (!), and scoring three goals in the second half is simply brilliant (really reminded me of our performance in Milan). Olic's goal a few minutes ago sealed it. Congrats, excellent representation of the league.
2-3 FT!

And match is over.
3-2 win for HSV, Olic made the last goal.
Congrats.

They are wrong, I saw Guerrero score both.
