It's not like there's any reason to talk about tonight's match against Nijmegen! LOL!! :)

The tie may be over already, but it would be good for the league (UEFA coefficient points) if HSV would win the second leg also. So Olic scoring a few minutes ago is good news.

I always said that Jerome Boateng is a promising player for the fullback positions, probably future national team material even. If you don't have any use for him, and rather let the Stinkstiefel Streit go on rampage in training, we'd take him. :)

What a pity that such a talented, hard working player like Olic is going to play for Bayern next season. You are going to miss him.

HSV won 1-0. Congrats, and well needed UEFA coefficient points for the club and the league, too.

From what i have seen, Dennis Aogo is a much brighter prospect. A much better rounded fullback imo.

Aogo is a good prospect, too. For the U21 national team, he often has been too naive defensively, but he seems to improve under Jol these days. Time will tell.

He is talented. He has a good shot, his crosses are usually accurate, and he seems to have a blind understanding with Petric. Add his unbelievable stamina, and you know why he can be very valuable to any team. Bayern knew exactly what they were doing when they signed him.

Congrats on qualifying for the interesting duel against Galatasaray (should be exciting to watch:-)!

I think all this crap is because we want good players to be flashy stars. We want to talk about extraordinary things they do on the pitch, when some very good players simply go out, work hard and get the freakin' job done.

For me, this is Ivica Olic. He's not going to make "Ribery-like" moves for you to talk about at work on Monday morning.

Olic simply wears his opponents down and beats them. He beats you with sheer will.

I think we don't have enough "love" for that type of player.

I agree, I love these types of players, Carragher and Kuyt are similar and I admire them more than 99.9% of the players out there.

There is just something admirable about players that compensate for lack of technical ability with sheer and genuine determination and will.

It looks like the HSV players are pretty nervous today (having the chance to extend their 4-points lead over Bayern)...

0:2 at half-time against Wolfsburg.

Totally predictable result. At least it won me some money but still...

Because of games like this Bayern will become champion.

Why?

Well, they missed another big opportunity (just remember the KSC game, when they lost despite a 2:0 lead).

1:3 defeat against Wolfsburg and only 2nd in table now:

Then be happy! :-))
