Some friends and I were at the game this Sunday, and from where we were it looked like the Ultras and the Casbah were having a lot of fun.

How can we buy tickets to sit in those sections for the games in Santa Clara?
When I went to the Earthquakes website I couldn't find any information about it (though I might have missed it)

We could probably only make one or two games the rest of the year, but it does sound like fun.

I'm not sure how packed in the Ultras' section is, but there is usually room in 109 (with the Casbah). If not, if you have tickets in the vicinity, we would welcome you to come over and stand with us!

Yeah, wherever your seats may be in the stadium, if you want to join in, just come on over and do so. There's always room to squeeze in. There are no assigned "seats" or places to stand.

By the way, this is how I do it when I participate. My seats are elsewhere.

Yeah, just come over to the Ultras no matter where you seats are. We don't care.

I suppose that having people "sneaking in" to the cheap seats wouldn't be a priority for the stadium staff... At Oakland they have to worry about cheaper seats.

Comrades!

I'll be in San José for the CounterRevs match on the 16th. Another friend of mine from Portland is going to be at the match also. He wants to hang a banner supporting MLS to PDX. Are you guys cool with that?!

It seems that the Timbers owner is seriously trying to get an MLS side, he's filed a formal bid, and fans up here are working on it. Fans of another club had a pro-Portland sign last week. Timbers fans are looking for support elsewhere in MLS.

And I look forward to drinking beer with you and saying hello to folks I know mostly from the boards!

GOOOOOO QUAAAAAAKES!!!!!! :D

Why not invite a Timbers Army contingent to join you on your roadtrip and represent? You should be able to get a good rate on a group order of 20 or more tickets for this match.

That should be easier after the USL season, which looks like it will end on 9/20 for Portland. Saturday 8/16 game conflicts with Portland v. Montreal.

I know we'd love it though.

Great. It may be tough to fill a group order for the Chivas USA match on Saturday, October 11, but presently you should be able to get a group of 20 or more sitting together for any of the other remaining home matches on August 30, September 6, 13, 27, or October 25. Schedule at www.sjearthquakes.com.

Despite my strong allegiance to the Canucks in hockey, i do believe that Portland should be in the MLS before Vancouver. I am in full support of a sign ... supporting (guess i should have used a better word) Portland in MLS in 2012 or whenever the next expansion is after Philly.

So long as there is a banner that also supports Montreal as the other expasion team.
