has anyone ever heard of the posssibility of MLS striking a deal with XM or Sirius in the past? i have always wondered why they werent with XM, considering how well the world cup broadcasts did on the platform. now with the two companies merging- they will probably start spending money again. so hopefully a deal would be reached. that would awesome for all parties involved. but has anyone ever heard any rumors or info regarding this in the past or recently?

Sirius has had EPL games and Celtic and World Soccer Daily and Charlie & Giorgio's show, so it wouldn't be outlandish to think there'd be a place for MLS.
One problem is that there aren't consistent and regular league-wide radio broadcasts for them to latch onto (like they do with NFL and NBA and MLB teams). Not every team does radio.
If they wanted to make the investment in producing games at a high level of quality, sure, they could. I remember hearing something a year (maybe two) ago that the league had struck a deal with some company to explore league-wide radio which might include satellite, but I can't find the article now. Perhaps nothing came of it. It's not like there's a boatload of money to be made and they're not going to do it just to do it.
