4. Japan 5
 I assume you meant 3 ? No wait... that's impossible with Holland 5 too. Consider me completely confused.

To man_in_the_middle:
There is absolutely no way that Argentina and Brasil play in the final with each other. According to your tables the semifinal draws are:
Italy - Ivory Coast
Argentina - Brasil

I gathered from the soccernet schedule that this is the way the games were set up. But you're probably right I don't think it would make much sense playing a team from your group in the semis.

Correctly predicted 6 out of 16 exact point totals and 7 out of 8 quarterfinalists in the correct spots - and it doesn't make the anguish disappear. :(

predicted all 8 QFs :)
Argentina 3 - 1 Holland
Nigeria 1 - 2 Ivory Coast aet
Italy 0 - 1 Belgium
Brazil 2 - 1 Cameroon
I agree, although I can't see this Cameroon squad scoring or letting in too many goals, so 1:0. Belgium has had bad luck in the group stage, are a great side and I expect an upset. I think Ivory Coast has presented itself better, but both sides are equals.

Belgium - Italy 3:2
That's all I have to say to the overconfident Italian fans (not all of them, just the overconfident ones).
Brasil - Cameroon 0:0
Like I predicted. Cameroon dominated midfield with destructive play. SOng and Bikey rocks at the back. Absolutely no firepower in Cameroon up front.

Brazil 2
Cameroon 0
Cameroon ran out of gas, Brazil with some nice skill on the 2nd goal.

Unfortunately playing 10 against 11 with a very physical style of play naturally makes Brasil favourite to win in OT...
additionally Cameroon have been appauling up front... shame no Eto'o at the Olympics... Cameroon would have probably won, cuz they were brilliant in DF and MF

They were brilliant in the back because they were playing rugby.

Like Brasil were any better...
This Cameroon side was expected to be like this - physical and strong. But for Brasil to just lash out left and right for most of the game?

Cameroon was the aggressor on the fouls. They just sat back all game hoping to send the game into penalty kicks, thankfully they didnt have enough energy.

The Argentina game plays into Brazil's hands better than the Cameroon game. I expect a lot more free flowing soccer.
prediction 2-1 Brazil

Dre: And Brasil accumulated 6 yellow cards how? Come on... Brasil was fouling just as much if not more than the Cameroonians...
After 90 minutes of play on being 10 on 11 how else would you play? Any side with the slightest brains would go for penalties...
It was absolutely painful to watch Brasil playing today... ugly, brutal and tactical football... not the Brasil people love.
---
Now compare Brasil to the sides in the Nigeria - Ivory Coast game. Adventurous attacking football... we have 7 strikers in total on both sides.

Nigeria will avenge 2005 and beat ARg in the final, I hope.
