Karacen scores in the first half after coming in as a sub for the injured Cisse while Villa equalizes in the 2nd. Convey gave Reading a PK opportunity with a nice run in the first but Stephen Hunt failed to beat Friedel.

One interesting bit of info....Shorey was not involved either on the field (Hunt started at LB) or on the bench. Murts said on the BBC that "speculation is rife" in the locker room about Shorey. Shorey sounded like he's been nothing more than an arse this summer in an article that I read last week and needed to go asap.
