Well, lo and behold after much cow dung emerging from his camp Ade wants to stay and doesn't quite know what all the fuss is about.

But... but...

He's still near "confirmed out" on the Setanta Transfer Table (http://www.setanta.com/Templates/News/NewsArticle.aspx?id=42280&epslanguage=EN)!

:D

"I had three years contract and I'm putting two or three years more so it's going to make it four or five," he said on the Arsenal Web site. "I'm very happy at this club and everything is fine."

Huh?

He's staying. I saw his interview. It was really a piece of work. He first said everything during the summer was made up because "He's from Togo..you, know..from Africa." Then he said he never said he wanted to leave, and he didn't know about all the commotion surrounding his future because "he was on vacation, did not read the papers, and had his phone turned off." According to him, everything attributed to him during the summer was simply made up. I like the guy, and I am glad he is staying, but his excuses are lame.

Well he did say that he never went to school and instead ducked out to play soccer with his friends. I guess he missed a math class or two along the way.

Watch and enjoy them playing the game. Never believe a word they say

I still don't believe a damn thing in this whole saga. The whole thing confuses me since I felt that out of anyone on our team he seemed the most "Arsenal" to me, always celebrating with the fans, kissing the badge, etc.

All will be forgiven though if he gives us the same production as last season though without that little slump he went into after he cut his hair.

It looks like he's growing it out again. I take that as a good sign.

If you look at the FACTS, you will see that this is really just more proof that Arsenal are a SELLING CLUB and that the BOARD are just looking to make a profit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the board were SERIOUS, they would have signed Ade for £150K/week to send the MESSAGE that we have AMBITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GAWD, I am so ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't you see that I am talking in CAPS and using lots of exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He talks too fast...I think they didn't quote him right! :)

I think with a lot of players they get paid by the goal...so kissing the badge is their way of saying "cha-ching" ;)

I'm going to get slaughtered for this but I really think Bendnter is better. Damn I wish we'd have gotten that coin for Adebayor.

I really wish this would stop some of the teeth gnashing on this board but while I'm a dreamer, I'm also a realist...

8 months ago you might have been slaughtered for that, but I don't know about now. Bendtner has looked very good so far and has shown that he's improved his game since last year (decision making on and off the ball, choice of runs and passing all looked better) where as it looked like nothing had improved with Adebayor's game at Stuttgart. He still wasn't able to stay onside if the ball was played to him from further than 15 yards away and his first touch was still crap. However, it was his very first preseason game and those things may yet improve.

One thing is for sure with our club, we are loaded with attacking options...which we're going to need if our defense doesn't improve because we'll need to score 3 or more goals per game to win.

I just hope he doesn't get lazy and sit around offside all season. 2006/2007 was the worst when he exhibited this behavior and failed to put away dozens of sitters.

RVP, stay fit and put some fire under his arse!

it is good news though, we need the experience up top right now.

The guy's crap... only scored 30 goals last season. We should've let him go when we had the chance.

I don't know if he's better currently, but he certainly will be in the near future. A less twunty version of Zlatan will be a sight to behold.
