Nice, a free player. Everyone think CC games will be the extent of his first team football this year?

This better not be the signing we all were expecting.

That's our one midfielder. Let's pack it in folks. Close down the transfer thread.

I hope this isn't the one player Wenger was talking about. I'm glag we're adding depth, but I still think we need just a hint of experience before the start of the season.

On the other hand, this was a free transfer. Hopefully, that leaves us still looking for 1 more midfielder or maybe a defender, theres gotta be "some" cash , right? maybe under the bed somewhere?

I'm pretty sure it's not. Amaury's deal was effectively done a couple of weeks ago before the Wenger quote, where he specifically said he does not have somebody certain in mind. I think he was already considering this done (they were just waiting on UEFA to set a fee).

this can't be our last signing for the summer. i think wenger still has something up his sleeve. another signing, who could actually see some first team action this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Veloso when it's all said and done.

Has anyone seen ever seen him play? He's definitely not the midfield player that I know a lot of fans had desired but free ain't bad. Still can't say much as he's a relatively unknown midfielder.

this is pointless, as Boro have snatched him up, but i think didiar digard wouldve been a perfect match to play alongside cesc.
perhaps at 24 i believe he is abit to old for AW to consider a sound buy, who knows.

hes a complete unknown, i read on wikipedia his first Weder bremen appearance was last terms UEFA cup.
ONE senior appearance for W. Bremen!
its abit shocking to me, BUT, i truly love the Arsenal and i really believe in AW ability as a manager and in my team. Who knows, this kid could be very special as AW has allready pointed out his potential and ability, as he knows him for Many many years now.

The word 'craptastic' came to mind when I saw this. But I really hope this ends up being a decent signing.
