SuperLiga Final Aug 5th 2008 [R]

Ok so Houston is in the final. The other finalist is going to be Atlante or New England. The final will be played Aug 5th either in Houston or New England.

I want to go and cheer on Houston. Anyone down? Nick? If it's in New England I would be willing to drive anyone that wants to come. Otherwise in Houston its plane all the way. lol lol

Maybe we can link up with either the Texian Army or El Batallon. Thoughts?

That's why I hate having Superliga on Telefutura. I don't even know if there is a second leg or not! I was under the impression it was going back to Mexico for anothe game, that's why I was so worried about them going through until they scored that second goal.

Superliga is just a US based tournament - which is kind of unfair - its almost like they set it ups for MLS to succeed! Althoug there are talks of splitting it next season. I honestly think its a waste of a tournament!

I hope MLS wins it though!

Doesn't the winner get a spot in the Club World Cup, or is that the CONCACAF Champions Cup? We have two many tournaments, I just want the CONCACAF Champions League to start so everything isn't this confusing anymore. lol

The majority of the confusion stems from the fact that MLS is an OFF FIFA CALENDAR league. I DONT dislike SuperLiga because it give MLS teams a chance to compete for international cups. Granted that it's against Mexican teams but it fosters higher level competition and that can only lead to good things in the overall landscape of North American soccer.

I didn't see the Houston game. But in the Rev game, they started getting crazy at the end of the match. Kicking guys, pushing etc..Then the game ends , and the keeper goes nuts. Shoving and punching Albright. Then blaming the refs :D
