Voted for lebosski (because it's gauche to vote your own) on the strength of his defense. Copping was the steal of the draft, I think.

FYP! :)

Actually Kev, what we should have done was include links to all the wiki entries on all of these players and managers. That way people can make better educated decisions.

you got time to set that all up? that would take a long time

Yeah, but it'd be awesome. Either to the wiki entries, or the posts in the picks thread.

FYP! :)
You drafted McLintock in the fourth round. I love the guy (though he was part of the mass exodus in the early 70s that left us barren), but hardly a steal at that point.

Would take forever. That's why we have the picks thread separate. Maybe yoss can close that thread now and sticky it, since the history lesson was part of the exercise.

He's a second rounder, easily.

Jeremy aka "Team Newbie"
Manager: Bertie Mee

Jimmy ASHCROFT
Peter STOREY - Kolo TOURE - David O'LEARY - Morris BATES
Freddie LJUNGBERG - David JACK - Patrick VIEIRA - Graham RIX

If possible, could a Mod edit the first post. Thanks.

Well, I voted for myself because I had zero votes and I wasn't about to be shut out!

I'd like to put my team out there again with some first names attached so that anyone so inclined can look them up and see why my team is the best! :)

ARSENALGOONER
Mad JENS LEHMANN
BACARY SAGNA - MARTIN KEOWN - JOE MERCER - BOB MCNAB
GEORGE ARMSTRONG - BILLY BLYTH - ALEX FORBES - MARC OVERMARS
IAN WRIGHT - RONNIE ROOKE

Manager- GEORGE GRAHAM
Bench- LE SULK ANELKA, JULIO BAPTISTA, ANDY COLE

What were the rules for picking the teams? It is hard to understand why only one person would pick TH14 in their best All-time Arsenal teams even though he has broken so many records for the club and is widely regarded as the best attacking player to ever wear the shirt. Was there some rule that each player could only be chosen once?

it was a draft. once a player was taken he was gone for good!

 Hmmm....I can see how a lot of people may totally miss the meaning of this. Maybe a short explanation with a link to draft thread might help.

Could we sticky this, at least for a week or so?
