Both have muscle strains. Didn't we just change trainers. You would think this is what he is paid for. As far as I am concerned a pre season muscle strain is a sign that the guys are not getting in shape. Now, I can understand Murts taking a little longer to get going, but Doyle is a young guy. He shouldn't be having these kinds of problems.

With Murty it could be age creeping up on him.

Doyle got a slight hamstring pull at Milton Keynes in the friendly there. He had to come on unexpectedly as sub in the first half after Lita's antics caused him to go off early, and perhaps he wasn't as warmed up as he should have been.

Then again, it could be harsh to blame the physio. The highly rated physio we had a couple of years ago, when almost nobody got injured, went to West Ham - and they now have so many injuries that the makers of ER are thinking of doing a special at Upton Park.

I agree about Murty, but there is no way that Doyle should be getting pulls or strains this early in training. Either the trainet isn't stretching him enough or he is pushing him too hard. I hope that this is not a sign of what is to come this season.

Or who is to go.

Or who is to go.

That would be sad. I like both Murts and Doyle.

I don't think either one will go. Murts is too old and Doyle has stated that he's going to stay at Reading.

I think the interesting thing is that Pearce might start at right back tonight and if Liam is on the left side, that tells me that Shorey is one the way out especially with the rumors that he was back in Reading over the weekend.

I had no dilusions that Shorey would be around this season. When he didn't sign in the winter, I knew that he was gone if we didn't stay up.
