First order of business is to establish the draft order.
Request all Small Rocks managers send me a PM with a 4-digit number from 0000 to 9999. I will send an email to all the Small Rocks Managers today with my 4-digit number attached. Don't look at my number until you have sent in your number.
As soon as I have everyone's numbers, I'll post them here and we'll use the next evening's PA Pick-4 Lottery number to determine the draft order. Imaging the 8 numbers on a circle. The cut off date will be to use Tuesday's 7 PM PA lottery number. If I haven't received a number from someone by then, I'll go find what their number was last year and use it. The draft order is determined by the closeness to the PA Pick 4 lottery number. For example, let's say manager A picked 1000 and manager B picked 9500 and the PA Lottery number is 0100. Manager B whose pick was 600 from the lottery number would draft before Manager A whose pick was 900 from the lottery number.

Second order of business is already completed. All managers are registered in the Small Rocks 2008_9 League.
Third order of business: Determine manager's time zones for the draft. Again, when I post the draft order, I'll add the time zone information from last year's records. Please correct the information if I have it wrong.
Fourth order of business: Share your phone number or IM account information with at least one other manager so you can be alerted when it's your turn to draft. The process also includes sending a BigSoccer Private Message to the next person to draft when you make your draft selection.
Fifth order of business: Depending on your availability of the draft, arrange for a manager who will be available during your prolonged absences from the draft, to make your proxy selections. Remember, proxy selections have to be specific and not leave discretion to the proxy manager.
Sixth order of business: Pick when our Go Slow phase of the draft will start and post your draft availability constraints. Remember, the key to the draft is communications. Always post when you will be gone for a while and provide your next few picks to your proxy manager to keep the draft moving while you are away.
Some draft availability constraints: Please post your time zone for the draft.
Hal, manager of Aviators, BigSoccer nickname, Hal, is available evenings and weekends, but has limited access from work. Jay can call me on my cell during the day to tell me it's my turn and what's happened since my last pick. If I don't have computer access, I can have Jay be my proxy manager and post my next selection. Time Zone: EDT (GMT +5)
Jay, manager of Yellowcake Phantoms, aka DoctorJones24, may have limited internet access from 3-7 August. EDT
Andrew, manager of Windsor Wanderers, aka subbuteo, says he is not available Aug 10
Andre, manager of FC Springfield, aka ibreak4coffee, has no draft constraints, except a silly music concert he's attending on August 8. (Priorities!!)
Michel, manager of 1800-UK.com, aka 1800-WorldCup.com, will be travelling from 1-13 August, but should have internet access at night, European time, Michael is home on July 31. Central European Time Zone (GMT -1?)
Eric, manager of Rat Face Villains FC, aka furby, says the first week of August works best for him for the draft.
Craig, manager of Vegas Virgins, aka Vegas2u, has no draft constraints other than, like me, his job. MST (GMT +7)
Paul, manager of In Off The Post, aka Clan, has yet to express any draft constraints, but he has threatened two (unnamed) managers to avoid drafting Deco or else dire consequences will follow.
