What moves would you like to see NYRB make? obsiously we need another striker. one that would compliment JPA. what about a guy like Jeff Cunningham. I know he has been off with Toronto, but who hasnt? Toronto is a black hole for goal scorers. rumor has it he is in the dog house of mo johnston and company. what do u guys think? and what would u give up for him?

the moves to acquire Rojas and Pietravallo were nice. obviously we still need to make a move or two. what would you guys do as GM?

I'd waive Leitch, Thornton, Echeverry, Magee and Boyens. Maybe trade Magee and some draft picks for either Ruiz or another MLS based striker.

Agee 100%. Dead wood needs to be released to get more sal cap money and productive players as well.

Cunningham, are you smoking again... he is kaput, he was in the dog house with RSL and now with TFC for something....

El Pescadito Ruis, maybe or ¿Welcome? who knows....But not Cunningham

Cunningham wasnt kaput with RSL. he scored 19 goals in 32 games for goodness sake. hes been kaput in toronto and as far as i am concerned TFC is the blackhole for goal scorers. Buddle couldnt score there, now look what he is doing playing with a guy able to feed him the ball and another striker who can drag defenders away from him (like Rojas and Angel could do). Cunningham was the only who could score in RSL. those two organizations histroically have been unable to score (except RSL seems to have gotten there act together this season). both those teams in the past could have had Jesus Christ on there roster and still not score goals. im tellin yah, the more i think about it, the more it makes sense. Cunningham and JPA would be a great pairing together. particularly with a guy like Rojas feeding them the ball. Cunninghams best years were when he played along side McBride in Columbus. McBride and Angel are the exact same type of forward. and better yet, toronto would probably just want to dump the salary, so it wouldnt take much in return to let go of him. its worth a shot.

If I were GM, I'd start by shaking Osorio's hand for the rebuilding job he's done so far. I'm going to assume that all his current signings are upgrades for now.

Second, I'd try very hard to find a second striker for Angel. A large, strong forward that can hold the ball and has good passing and shooting skills. Kenny Cooper's twin.

Then I'd be signing Kassal and/or Jonny X to a GA contract.

Finally, I'd look for a strong right back with speed. Someone like Wynne, but with better defensive skills.

If I got halfway through my list, I'd be happy.

Second rehire and fire him again;)

Is there some mad or stoned GM on the other end of that trade?

a few weeks ago that might not have been completely nuts, LA wanted to offload Ruiz's salary, but hes played well in is first game back. I bet we could get something for Magee, he's still young and another manager might think he could get something out of him.

Oh, and I'd sign Peter Crouch to a DP contract that requires him to teach Borman how to do the robot instead of the hip-hop-flip-flop.

Maybe the best thing Agass should do is resign!

If I was GM og Red Bulls I would stop playing dumb and sign Matt Kassel to a real contract before its too late. Signing Blacido wouldn't be too bad as well. And then cut some of the our player who are just eating salary

anyone else have anymore comments regarding my thoughts on the Cunningham deal? im interested in what the rest of you have to say. good, bad or indifferent?! i truly think a striker combo of JPA and Cunningham would be lethal. particularly with Rojas and DVDB feeding them the ball.

not a terrible idea, I believe his contract is up after this season. If toronto would pay some of the salary the rest of the way, or better yet take one or two players we don't want anymore. maybe mo remembers woly and mendes fondly enough to take?

none of those are the possible strikers... I am sure what ever the final decision is , its going to be totally different then what we expect.
