GOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLL!
********ING GOALLLLL!

SAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

1-0!

We score just before halftime! We're ahead and fully deserved - we've been much better so far!

What a wonderful time to score! Second half's gonna be a nailbiter.

so far so good

i feel vfb have been dominating the last 10 minutes...having gomez on has pushed their defenders back and left more room to build attacks in the middle-final third

Yes, we've been generally very good i'd say.

Delpierre and Tasci have left no room in central defence, Osorio and TRAESCH (who seems years ahead of his age in coolness...) have been very good on the sides.

Hitz has had his best game in a while so far, Khedira has been excellent, Simak also solid, as has been Hilbert.

Marica was good until he had to go off, and Gomez has been good since coming on. Cacau has been the only poor player so far, but he hasn't been terrible, just he still seems to lack confidence in the penalty box.

But I can't really complain, boys have been great so far.

If they can reproduce this half we have a very good chance of holding onto this lead.

poor defending there, it reminds me of that game in the CL against barcelona in stuttgart where they scored a similar goal...it was not lehmann's fault...someone should have "boxed out" the rebound better to used a basketball term

Typical Cacau. Good skill, poor decisions, and now there's the horrific finishing.

They were dirty as hell in this game and we fully deserved a point out of this one. Thank god for Sami saving our bacon.

Honestly:

Lucio and Demichelis were really rotten, particularly Lucio. He was booked in second half, but had the referee seen his elbow to Marica's face in the first half he'd probably have been sent off in this game. Marica had to go off, which is really a shame as Cacau was very bad and we would've certainly done better with Ciprian staying in alongside Gomez.

Then, Van Bommel as dirty as ever. Well, he always is so that's no surprise.

Toni fell over about 25 times that game. The commentator was joking that Bayern couldn't get a freekick close to the penalty box simply because Toni would always dive to the ground 40 metres away from the goal.

And then there's Oddo, complete maniac. In fact, since our player wasn't injured I can almost see the humour in his karate kick. What a psycho. :p

Seriously Bayern did by no means deserve a victory today and i'm so glad Sami (IMMENSE today by the way...) saved us the point. It's the least we deserved.

Hats off to the boys. Very good performance. Babbel remains unbeaten.

Now let's beat Liege next week and get through to the next round in Europe! And then see what Babbel can really do when he has an entire 6 weeks to mould his team together.

Sami was definitely man of the match. He had some massive tackles in addition to the two goals. Gets a 9 out of 10 for me.

That puto Lucio skated REAL easy from a red card. But all in all it was great to prevent Bayern from winning. My one Bavarian buddy must feel sick right now. :D

I had 4 windows open my screen watching Bochum -Koln, and this one mostly.

I've never liked Lucio, dirty is a compliment to him. But if you had the ref we did today, he was scary. I'm sure old Daum is going to raise a stink, appeal and all that crap, but two of the worst sending offs in quite a while.
