Have you guys heard anything about a young guy called Futacs who joined you over christmas?
He's very young, I kinda expected him to be playing with the reserves now but no sign of him.

He plays the U19 Bundesliga team and scored 2 times in 6 appearances. He got a professional contract in January and has on Werder.de already an own profile page (http://www.werder.de/team/spieler/futacs.php).

Not quite Werder II but congratulations to Lennart Thy and Florian Trinks for their great matches in the U17 - EM. and to the rest of the German Champions!

Werder II made a great run in the second half of the season (more than twice as much points as in the first half) and prevented relegation despite a 0-1 in the last match at vice-champion Düsseldorf. :)

And it also looks like theyre going to strengthen the Werder II squad over the summer.
Its difficult for us to field this team, considering so many of our players in the first team are young as it is. I was hoping to watch more of the Werder II matches this season, but apparently the weekly highlight show in Germany would rarely show matches involving the three reserve teams (Werder, Bayern, Stuttgart) who were in the division.

Ikeng got yesterday a crucial rupture at the away loss in Osnabrück (0-1).
That's very sad, especially because he was close to the first team. :(

Some positive news:
The reserve won 1-0 vs. Dortmunds reserve on Saturday.
Oehrl scored the goal.
And the U15 reach rank 2 at the U15 Manchester United premier cup,
they had won the national quali (against the league champion from other parts from Germany) and so could face teams from 39 other
countries, the best twenty clubs were allowed to travel to Machester. In the final (at old Trafford) they lost 1-3 after extra-time vs. FC St.Paolo.
Best result at that competition from a German team ever and a very good experience for the boys.

Testroet with a ligament rupture. This story is only sad, when he seems on his way to make it he gets injured.

Interesting interview with Werder II coach Thomas Wolter about nurturing talent at the club, club structures and Otto Rehagel's influence (German).
