For those in NYC, the game is available on ESPN Latin America at Tailors Hall (718-706 1010) at 45-15 Queens Blvd in Queens. Take the 7 train (local) to 46th street - 5 mins from Queensboro Plaza. There's no cover but commentary will probably be in Spanish!
I think Nevada Smith's are also showing it. Don't know about language or cover. I'll confirm later.
Come on you Gunners!!!
Very solid breakdown of the Inter squad now available at www.arsenalamerica.com

I think we'll come through this with three points and no worse for wear as Italian sides seem to struggle at Highbury. They are actually TOO defensive any time they enter THOF unlike the English sides who get the adjustment right as well as the Euro sides. The Italians are SO used to defending the don't change up when they come here and end up paying in full...2-0 to Arsenal from Henry and Pires....

Shouldn't we throw an (R) up in that title? Just to get it out of the way, I mean.
And great breakdown on Inter.

Easier to start a new one on Wed morning I think...keep this one to talking about where one can watch it and tactics for the game I guess.

The team owe us a performance after the shocker on Saturday, I expect nothing less than 200% effort on Wednesday. We need to play at a fairly high tempo and not let Inter settle into what is bound to be a negative away leg pattern. With Vieri and Recoba out I expect them to soak up plenty of pressure and try and hit us on the break with the speed of Martins and Kallon. While these two aren't the most cultured of forwards they certainly have pace on their side, so our defenders don't want to get sucked in as they'll be behind us in a flash.
A win is imperative to get us off to a good start in the group with trips to Russia and Ukraine coming next. I also think it's important that we keep a clean sheet to give the defence some confidence coming into a tough run of games. 1-0 to The arsenal will do just fine.

I would like to point out that, should things go as per usual, I'll hit my 500th post during the PBP on Wednesday.
I would expect that the PBP will be stopped (as well as the actual match! Get on that, michaec!!) so that I may present myself with some type of award, or perhaps to announce my retirement. I plan for the ceremony to be brief so as to not disrupt the flow of the game.
Thank you for your attendance.

Thank you for your attendance. Unfortunately I will be otherwise engaged at THOF and miss this momentous PBP (although your post count says 529 already??). However, if the match is stopped for the aformentioned presentation I will be sure to regale those around me with tales of your incisive comments, humour and long-distance solid support on these boards. And if no-one has kicked my head in for being a geeky computer nerd, I'll get back to supporting the team onto a resounding win. :)

It was on like 476 last night....
I have no idea, then, unless I was posting in my sleep. I guess I'll have to go back in time and give myself that award..

They still kick in the heads of geeky computer nerds at THOF? I must remind myself when I come to a game to not discuss computer nerdery.

I have just come back from the game so I won't bore anyone with my views if you have just watched it in whatever format and channel.
I would like to say that I am just "disappointed" but I'm afraid it goes deeper than that.
I cannot understand with probably the best striker in the world, and the best midfielder in the world, we still underperform. I know that 2 players need the help of the other 9, but the gap between is deeper than a dark casum(?). Although that is probably a slight unfair, they got taught a lesson in a "team game", in the traditional old Italian way.
On the bright side (if there is one), A.C. Milan didn't start too well last season either, and look where they ended up!!!!!!!!

I'm just worried that what was on show tonight is what Arsene thinks is his best team, inter played well , and we can do better, but we never opened them up once, our passing was sloppy, tackaling was half hearted, and our 'captain' was walking around for alot of the time with his head down when he should have been motivating the others.

Um, Milan came out two guns blazing last year in the CL, winning there first 4 opening matches (against Bayern and Deportivo) and didn't suffer defeat until they met Juve in the League. They ended the first half of the Serie A season on top. I believe you meant didn't finish well.

Well.... that was embarrasing wasn't it. I still think you've every chance of qualifying for the next round though. 2nd of course.

lets not panic too early everyone... winning in milan isnt really out of the question is it? no it really is possible (albeit not by a 3-nil scoreline). this next trip to moscow is going to be a massive game to get a win under our belts... hopefully, we will look back at this game as a wake up call and the first signs will come sunday at old trafford~~
always the optimist!! lol

their pre-game predictions were understandable considering that arse have beaten juventus ,roma and lazio in recent seasons.
I'll have to remember this next time any future results go against your boys..
head down to the serie A boards and sneer at pre game predictions...
I suppose it was expected that you would crawl out from under your rock after this game..
thats the way you want it ,you got it.
