World Cup tune-up matches slated for RFK next month per Goff:
*Bolivia-Guatemala, Wed., Aug. 6 at 8 p.m.
*El Salvador-Trinidad and Tobago, Thu., Aug. 14, at 8 p.m.
Will DCU be scouting any of these games or will they shy away from players like these who would miss MLS games when WC qualifiers are played?

Cool, would love to see Jaime suit up. Time to order up some salteñas for my Bolivian bro's :)

That would be nice. But we have three games scheduled that week -- Metro Turds, NE, and Piss on the Fire. So DCU really needs Jaime for those games.

Good point, hope they at least call up Arce or Moreno Martins. Both of those guys would look awesome in a United kit. (won't happen though, they're both making the big bucks overseas)

i guess that would add to the 30 or so times that dc would get out of a soccer specific stadium

Is Arce really making that much over there? It would be really awesome to see Arce breaking MLS defenders in half

His Wiki says his contract with Al-Arabi ended in June and he's currently looking for a team. Hmmmm.....
Anyone remember how DC "found" Jaime Moreno?

Hes not with Al-Arabi anymore. Just in Santa Cruz looking for a club.
Personally i would love to have Jhasmani Campos to play on our wings. :) Arce wouldnt hurt to take moreno's place either.
And i think DC Found Moreno when he broke USA in half during that game where we won i think 2-0 at the RFK. He Burned Agoos.

Correct sir! It was great, I've never seen someone pull away from a defense with the ball like that before.

He would have been wasted. Forwards in England aren't allowed to dribble like that without getting hacked to shreds. Moreno's fate would have been sitting on the bench, playing with the reserves, until he was out of contract and then going somewhere his skills are appreciated. English have no time for ball skills other than the ability to put in a cross. If you think that Jaime has been disparaged for holding the ball too long among our fan base, it would have only been worse in England, where 2 seconds is holding the ball too long.

On the contrary if you're good enough to dribble with the ball you can.
See what I'm saying?

Well we can all speculate, but i think he rushed it cause he wasnt getting enough playing time with the first team.

He even admits he may have rushed it.
But who knows what could have happened, i remember hearing also when he left he was the leading goal scorer for the Boro' reserves.....think about that.

Thanks Mike, I hope Martins makes it. I'd love to see him play live. And I really hope Arce gets the call. Kasper and Payne might like what they see.

Just an FYI, these games are General Admission... and if the Bolivia game is anything like the past El Salvador game, everyone should go in as early as possible to secure a seat in the lower bowl. They will close it down and make you go up.
