A new stadium in PG or Loudoun can't come soon enough for me. There, I said it - flame away.:mad:

OK. I'll bite.
What triggered this one? The electrical problem?

Probably was the cicadas. That buzzing gets to people, you know.

Yeah, nothing like this would EVER happen in PG County.

Not gonna flame, but I am gonna disagree. These kinds of problems are not completely uncommon in older urban areas. Its happening in VA too. Just look at what happened to Metro in VA earlier this week. Power outages in the Vienna / West Falls Church/ Merrifield areas due to aging / old infrastructure. The only place where United could conceivably go to avoid older infrastructure would be a place like loudoun Co, since its newer than most of the area inside of the beltway. I mean come on, were talking about a metro area, where at least half of it is dating back 2-300 years, and some parts date back to over 400 years ago, like Alexandria.
Personally, I want PG to be a last resort, but im all for United moving there if the District is going to continue to be the lying, back stabbing jackasses they have been to United, to this point in time.

That's the way I felt when I got to the stadium last night.

Don't feel that way any more. :p
NYC2 will take over the field over looking the Throgs Neck at the US Merchant Marine Academy after Obama closes it.

It doesn't make any logical sense to blame Washington, DC for this.
I blame the Houston Dynamo.
Fact: Last year they had to postpone a home game with Pachuca because of power issues at their stadium.
Fact: Earlier this year the Houston-Colorado game at the Dick was delayed for a hella long time when a bank of lights went out.
Fact: The June 4 Houston at DC game was postponed because of weather.
Fact: The July 21 makeup of the June 4 postponed match was postponed because of power outages.
Applying simple McCainian logic one points a stiff finger of accusation at the Houston Dynamo.

And, by obvious extension, Amigo Energy:)

Well as General "Techumseh" Sherman once said, "If I could own both Texas and Hell, I'd rent out Texas and live in Hell." :D

Keep in mind that Sherman was stuck with an Adjustable Rate Mortgage; he was just too stubborn to sell Texas at a loss. Great strategist, but lousy manager of personal finance.

Also, he pretty much abused all the real estate with which he ever passed through.

i wonder how amigo energy is doing these days, they could just use a slogan along the lines of "we're better than pepco, bge, and we speak spanish" and they'd make a killing in the dc area

PG County has a big parking Lot where the Cap Centre
used to be Metro runs to Addison RD. Could be easily
extended for the right price. Abe Poulan would love that
for sure. Hell! Build the New Stadium on the Mall, turn
the Reflecting Pool into a Hockey Rink. Use the Capitol
Rotunda for WWE wrestling. Heck we can all go roll Easter
Eggs on the Whitehouse Lawn. People! Dumb ass QUESTION?
Who's gonna pay for the Stadium? Alot of Promises need to
come true before anyone will come through on the CASH!!
