Monday, July 28, 2008.
Kickoff at 6:30pm CET, 5:30pm GMT, 12:30pm ET, 11:30am CamTime. :D
Television: ATVO or your nearest internet stream.
Two friendlies under our belts, a win and a draw, we play an Austrian select. Vela and Coquelin have now both made their debuts in the Arsenal shirt. This ought to be the final miniature tuneup before our first true test of the preseason against Stuttgart and Mad Jens. Perhaps we get a glimpse of Nasri for this match, which would be a very welcome sight.
Here's to no injuries and a greater integrated side of veterans and youngsters (ie, no Hoytes in central defense).

I would like a rout in our favor before we get to some top division sides.

I second the call for a good routing. 5-1 would be just fine, thanks.
Theo needs to play up top w/ Bendtner. And no Hoytes in the starting XI please.

i dont think we'll see nasri til stuttgart, but they might bring him to run around the pitch for a half.

Coquelin sure seemed out to prove a point today! Hope he can keep it up for the next match. I'd also like to see Vela get a bit more time. He was in some good spots but seemed a bit rusty.

^why isnt Ronald the captain?he obviously has the most leadership on that team. This is gonna be a tough game. player/coach Mayor McCheese has managerial skills that rival Wenger. Here's a picture of the 08/09 squad:

Look behind Mayor McCheese. I believe you'll see "The Professor". 'nuff said.

I glanced at this a couple hours ago and my reaction was, "why does anti know so much about this team?". I repeat, "glanced". I always thought the hamburglar was an excellent poacher though, real fox in the box type.

He does have ears like Franny.

I figure Hamburglar for a Fox in the box type. Grimace is more of a target man.

any chances of some fresh faces for this game?
diaby? nasri? cesc? adebayor?
hopefully jack wilshire gets a good run out. haven't seen him play before this pre-season, but i like the way he plays more and more every game.

You simply MUST see this Jack Wilshire clip if you haven't already.

I've seen that video probably 25 times, but I still watch it whenever someone links to it.

I think Cesc could make the same pass, but I don't think any of the first team players could have scored that goal. Or even had the guts to try.

I love the way he stands there nonchalantly watching it bend in. Just kinda "shit, that was easy."

Robin probably could have, but this isnt the kind of thing worth arguing about.

After the West Ham game is the first time I've seen or heard of Wilshire play. Now in the preseason games he has been one of the best players out there and THE best attacking player out there (IMO of course). Can anyone fill me in on when we signed him, and how long he has been at the Arse for? Also, is he a winger or striker?
