I will be refereeing at the USASA(Adult Amateur) national championships in Seattle Aug. 7-10...
If I can get my laptop fixed by then... I'll blog from there if anyone is actually interested in reading about it. And if I can afford my new camera by then, I'll post pictures too.

Yes. 10 local State Referees were invited to be 4th officials. We were included in all of the instructional sessions as well. Brian Hall was the instructor. Really good stuff.
Also, if anyone is interested, photos from Nationals can be found at

thanks for the links! looking at all of the pictures is pretty fun! does anyone know what the pay is for that tournament? Or how many games an official receives?

For most of the high level youth tournaments affiliated with USYSA - there is no pay. You are "honored" to be appointed. And while it is an honor indeed, you would think a group with so much revenue could put together a small monetary token of thanks.
That being said. Flight, Hotel, and some meals are paid for. And Adidas (never one to pass up a free billboard) outfits officials completely. Two games a day is normal, as well as a debrief from some of the top assessors in the country.
