Ticket requests for August and September 2008 home Premiership matches are now being taken!

The procedure for these matches only is as follows:

1. PM us (aa tickets) with your username, your real name, the match you want to attend and the number of tickets you want.

2. Transfer roughly $100 per ticket you are requesting to your PayPal account.

3. Become a fully paid up premium member of Arsenal America as soon as possible (e.g. as soon as the membership website is up and running).

We will then PM you with whether we are able to give you the tickets you have requested. If we confirm that we are able to give you the tickets you requested, please then:

1. PayPal us the money for the tickets.

2. Send us your flight and hotel info (and phone number while in London if you will have one).

3. Make sure you have joined Arsenal America.

We will share the names of those who are getting tickets through AA for each match with those who are also going through AA so that you can be in touch with each other in advance if you want. We are doing it this way (so far) this season for various reasons, one of which is that we have run into trouble in the past with public listings of all the tickets we are able to offer.

By the time we confirm to you that you have tickets to a match, we will have the final price and as we are taking requests for only August and September at the moment, we will need you to PayPal the money to us as soon as we confirm you can have the tickets. This is to ensure we have sufficent funds to actually pay Arsenal for the tickets.

As noted before, we appreciate your patience as we finalize the ticketing process for this season. While there may be some kinks to work out, the basic theory is to have this be a first come, first served system through which as many Americans get to come over to see Arsenal matches as possible.

We will post again regarding non-Premiership matches once we have more information regarding tickets for those from the club.

Let me know if anything isn't clear...

-Meredith

I tried sending a PM with my request, but received the following message in response:

aa tickets has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space

This should definitely be stickied for a bit.

Oh, and my request is in as well.

Sticky would be good, agreed. So if anyone can do that for me I'd appreciate it as I don't seem to have the ability to do that.

I have been following the thread for some time and understand that requests are only being taken for the August and September matches at this time. My wife and I will be making our first trip/pilgramage to London over the Christmas holiday and would like to attend the home game against Portsmouth on Dec. 28. Is there a timeline on when tickets for the matches after September will be availible for request? I'm new at this an am anxious to get the biggest and most important detail of the trip taken care of as soon as possible. Thanks.

TIMING UPDATE:

WBA: We are not taking any further requests as we have passed the date for ordering tickets from the Club.

Newcastle: In order to be considered, all requests must be PM'd to us at "aa tickets" by midnight (EST) on 29 July.

Hull City: In order to be considered, all requests must be PM'd to us at "aa tickets" by midnight (EST) on 31 July.

Champions League: The draw is on 1 August. To be considered, all requests must be PM'd to us at "aa tickets" by midnight (EST) on 3 August.

MONEY UPDATE:

We are still working on calculating the costs of the tickets for the upcoming matches but we can't finalize calculations until we have heard back from the Club on tickets for each match. We hope ot hear early this coming week about WBA tickets and will then let everyone know whether they have tickets and, if so, how much they are. We do think roughly $100 per ticket is about right so if you need to transfer money to your PayPal account to cover your requests, please ensure you've done so already.

We will be asking you to transfer money to us in Great British Pounds (GBP) as we understand PayPal now offers the ability to choose a currency when you send the money. This will hopefully take the currency fluctuations out of the mix and should provide greater certainty/consistency for all of us.

Without going overboard (like some people here ) I would say that you should wait for the December/January thread for tickets. Since the ticketing process is in transition this year, it seems like ArsenalAmerica is taking orders for tickets when they are ready. If it hasn't been announced yet, then they're not ready.

However, do keep in mind the rules that you see in the first post. That should be standard for all months. Break those rules and you're left to the wolves. ;)

Good luck.

Hello All,

Its been a long time.

I hope I'm not asking a question that has already been answered in another thread which is the norm for me as Rick and quite a few other people know all too well but what is happening about tickets for Away games as I can't find anything about this on the boards.

Good questions. I think Rick said that Liverpool away last year(in Nov) was going to be the final away tickets ArseAm would do.

Just an update for those of you who have requested WBA tickets for the home opener - we are still waiting to hear back from the Club as to how many tickets we have so unfortunately we are able to confirm very few at this point. We will PM you back as soon as we have a response from the Club.

AA, so do you think that this will be the case for the majority of the away games? Thank you for the update. This is good to know.

Hi all - We've been able to confirm a few people for tickets so far but we still haven't heard from the Club about whether they'll be able to give us any tickets in addition to what we had already. Each day I keep hoping that this will be the day but today I'm really hoping will be the day because the Emirates is totally sold out now that the Reds have bought their tickets so hopefully the Club held a few back for us. Once everyone we can give a ticket to has been confirmed, we'll send a PM (probably this weekend) about details for meeting up.

Will keep you posted as and when there is any news to report.

What do you do if you just subscribed to AA, made the payment through PayPal, but it was still listed as 2007/2008 membershp?
