Our midfield can't create anything. I didn't get to watch the full match yesterday, but Sanou and Antar haven't created anything in the 110 minutes I have seen this season.
When I heard that we had signed Sanou some months ago, I was really puzzled how he was supposed to help us. I haven't found out since, but it's yet too early too write him off completely.
I think both Sanou and Antar are quite capable of controlling the ball, and maybe they would do much better if we played more fluent and technical football in midfield. At Freiburg these players were used to short passes and much possession, a style not unlike that of the Spanish national team. If you ask me, our current "style" resembles kick and rush. Petit might be a player who can play the long ball very well, but it's not a very sophisticated strategy, and good Bundesliga sides will know how to react to it.
If we had unlimited cash, signing a creative OM in the winter break would almost be an absolute must. Since I don't want our club to be in the red, I'd prefer working with what we've got now and save the money. A promoted side can't replace every player in the first year. What we should change though is our style, and I'll be really disappointed if Daum doesn't see to improving it.
Matip played well lately, and I don't have an aversion against him, but shouldn't Broich be in our line-up? He can be a lazy genius, but he's one of our few creative players. I also wonder whether we really need to play with two defensive midfielders all the time.

I haven't seen enough, but we do lack some style right now.
Matip has been playing in the back, Broich could replace Antar for me.

Do you mean him holding his heart or his gesture saying 'sorry' ? :D
Some newspapers didn't get it that he was holding his heart, they wrote that he was holding the bayern logo saying 'munich is my team'.
By the way, there are new (negative) rumors about Ishias. He spents currently his time in Belgium to recover from his injury, but the rumor is that he might quit soccer altogether due to his injury. Additionally it is rumored that he is older than his ID says...
...so far he is the worst signing of this season.

... or maybe the scene directly after he had scored, when he went down for a few seconds. ;)

You mean the "Münchner Merkur"? ;)

I haven't seen much of McKenna since he went down to B2 last season with Koeln but I thought he had a very good match on Saturday, playing out of position at right back. He was involved in many of the good chances Koeln had on the day and couldn't be held responsible on the goals against either.

As long as Geromel and Mohamad stay healthy, McKenna's chances of replacing one of them are slim, but he's almost sure to keep his spot at RB at least until Özat recovers. I'm confident that he will do this job with his usual reliability.

He's said to be available for a comeback in four weeks. Well, let's hope so...

Misery vs wretchedness, and misery keeps the points. I'm really gutted about this result.

our midfield is really unable to create anything. I really don`t understand why Daum doesn`t give Broich a chance. He was imo one of the best players in the second half of the last season and essential for our promotion. ANd right now he can`t be worse than Antar
Not happy with Wome`either, he just doesn`t seem to be really fit yet.
Still I am quite happy with our defence, one of the reasons why almost all of the games have been boring this season, is because our defense has been good in destroying the game of our opponents .

Thank you! Unfortunately, Antar isn't playing half as good as Mohamad at the moment. The offensive midfield has been our weak spot so far.
@ cookiely: My opinion exactly. Womé will get better with more match practice I hope. He's on the up and up already.

I think we have to give Broich some opportunities to show his value. Antar is not doing the job.

there are also rumors that the FC is interested in the return of Albert "if I don`t get called up for the NT soon, I am gonna play for Romania" Streit
Streit is just what our midfields needs right now, someone that is able to carry the ball up front, someone that doesn`t just play the long ball.
Unfortunately we are not the only club that is inerested in him and signing him won`t be cheap. I don`t want the club to take to many risks and end up like Lautern or 1860. Also Streit is somewhat of a troublemaker.
