Thankfully. Exactly.
Pretty funny, the local weatherman, Bob Breck, said last week "Its going to be a category 2 when it hits us. Rain, winds, etc - but not the mother of all storms".
Hopefully we won't see the mother any time soon.

Do they really pay so badly in Cologne these days? :-)
the problem is Cologne not only has a lot of students, the university of Cologne also has the highest labor force participation rate of any university in germany.
so unfortunately it is not easy to get a job (suitable for students) in cologne and the payment is often not the best either.

I hope so too. After all New Orleans is one of the places I want to visit.
the weatherguy propably has developed a sixth sense when it comes to things like this, after all he has way more experience in this than all those weatherman who only know hurricane from afar.
how long is it until the hurricane season ends?

It ends at around the beginning of November. Right now is the worst part of the hurricane period.

If you can't afford it during the studies, just make the trip to Fürth & Wendelstein (small town in the south of Nürnberg) every April/May ... and you'll feel like in New Orleans! :D

Sorry for so much "off topic" stuff.
Btw: Did Ümit Özat fully recover from that shocking collapse? Did they check him again?

Nothing is like New Orleans my friends. If you go, let me know and I'll let you know the places the locals go for fun, food, booze.

I went last year, for just the weekend though. Stayed mainly in the french quarter. Was fun and I would definitely go again :)

Good stuff. Can't go wrong with the French Quarter, but sometimes, you need to venture out to the suburbs and try the stuff we eat on a regular basis.
Beignets - I'd rather Morning Call in Metairie, usually bigger, and you put on your own sugar.
Snoballs - just something you need to try.
Drago's Seafood Restaurant - heard he opened up a place in the Quarter, but the home in Metairie is the best. Drumfish Tommy is one of my favorite things to eat.
Mark Twain Pizza Landing - get the "Mysterious Stranger" pizza.
Bud's Broiler for a burger with their sauce and a choco shake.
Po-Boys - just get one.
Semolina's Pasta Restaurant - so many good things.
I'll check with my peeps if anyone goes over.

Our captain is still undergoing medical examinations and he doesn't want every detail on his health being discussed in the media - understandable enough. At the moment it's not clear at all whether Ümit Özat will play for us again.

Hopefully he'll return quickly, but most importantly is he will be healthy.

it doesn`t look good. it seems like it was really the heart that caused his collaps.

Really bad news. :(

However, it's important that he's still alive and knows the reason of his collapse. Wish him all the best to continue his career after the winter break.

That Novakovic likes to score goals, scored 2 more in Slovenia's 2-1 win over Slovakia.
To be honest with you, I don't think he's anything special, but he scores goals, so fair play to him.

Just read some of the comments on Poldi in the Bayern forum. I don't know how realistic a prospect it is that he will come back to us, but he should definitely leave that club as soon as possible. He's wasting his talent there.
For the time being, I would be quite pleased with a draw against the Buddhas. From a crashing defeat to a narrow win everything is possible, but we can play without any pressure. Radu is said to be fit to play, and I hope that Broich will be a starter.
Come on FC!

Novakovic has just been named our new captain.

Even if we conceded three and were lucky not to see more bayern goals at the end, there's no need to worry about the defence. Our uninspiring offensive play has to improve though. If we continue like that, I wonder how we want to score this season.
Hopefully we get can something out of the Bielefeld game. That's the kind of opponent we should be able to beat.
ps: I don't know what to think of the Poldi-celebrations after he scored. Maybe it was good to again show him where he belongs, but on the other hand conceding a goal is a strange occasion for cheering a player of the opponent.

It was strange to see, but if Poldi has the option of returning to going to FC Money, hopefully he'll return home.

Our midfield can't create anything. I didn't get to watch the full match yesterday, but Sanou and Antar haven't created anything in the 110 minutes I have seen this season.
