The Bayern-HSV opener is the only Friday match they've done so far this season. :(

and I can imagine if Bayern play on Friday again, they will pick that one up too

for example 05.12.08 20:30 Bayern München - 1899 Hoffenheim

But maybe you Koeln fans will get lucky-you seem to have a few FR games coming up.

They've got threads about the GolTV debacle. SOme think that Goltv sold the live rights to a non-broadcasting outlet.

Damn!

Yeah, it was a bummer to come home this afternoon expecting to see the FC on GolTV but I deeply appreciate the live link! Even bought a six-pack of Gaffel Kölsch for the match!

That penalty was ridiculous. How far away was the ball from Schwegler? He was completely out of control! How would Geromel have avoided him?

also Geromel was already standing when Schwengler played the ball to the side, and he then just ran into Geromel.

also there were one or two situations where Nova was absolutely not offside.

and Vidal should have gotten carded sooner.

Still I am happy with the way our boys played. Leverkusen weren`tbetter, they were just more effective than we were.

Just imagine Antar had made one of those headers, the whole game would
have been different
So heads up guys and up to the next match

You gave Leverkusen a really hard fight, but a terrible marking mistake after a corner kick and a doubtful pk decided the game.

Met another FC Köln fan today at the Po-Boy Factory in Huntsville, AL - turns out he works in the same complex I do.

We still might get our US boy
Greg Folk, right back and captain of the U21 team has been seen in Cologne.

Rumor is, the FC wants to buy him and then lend him out to an belgian club to
give him time to play and develop

:( now you nearly killed my enthusiasm
I wanted to hear something like:
"yeah, I know him, huge talent,"

shamelessly stole those links from another board

now that you day it, it is nowhere mentioned that he is captain of the U21,
it was only written by a belgian soccer magazine

He was captain of the Pan Am games. I've found some more info on him. I still won't get excited.

its not getting any easier.
We need a midfielder that can get the ball to Novagol. Although someone gave him a beautiful ball in the first half that was just tipped away for a corner.

yeah it surely isn`t
I had the overall feeling that the team was tired after the hard but fruitless gfight against Leverkusen .
Which is a shame, because if we played against Dortmund the way we played
against Leverkusen, we propably wouldn`t have gone empty handed.

We are in dire need of a midfielder. I really would like to give Broich another
chance but I can`t help getting the feeling that Daum is not a big fan of his.

Hell he could give a youngster like Yalcin a chance, he can`t do worse as Antar right now. :D and I got him for my kicker team because I am still hoping for a breakthrough this season

I know bitching about Antar is an easy outlet right now and I am not saying that he is not trying, because he is, he has been running and fighting just like the others did in the last couple of games.

It`s just that he is so damn unlucky right now. His passes are a bit to long,
his headers and shots go straight to the goaly and he seems to be just one step to slow.

Exactly. He works hard, but there is no result.

Maybe Sebastian Kehl putting the clamps on Antar had something to do with it.......

Sebastian Kehl hasn't played against Antar every game this season. He's not playing well, turns over the ball, misses open headers, shots, etc.

Dude, this is RODA ANTAR you are talking about!

This isn't the 2nd Bundesliga anymore! And that is all Antar is. A very good 2nd Bundesliga player!

You mean to tell me you guys really expected more of him???
