Date of next match changed. I only now just noticed the derby with Leverkusen is on Friday. And with the added bonus of Helmes. :D Isn't he a hated man now amongst Cologne supporters?

It was known that he'd join Leverkusen a year ago already and he continued to play well for Koeln and help them seal promotion so I doubt it.

Helmes did play us when he signed his contract with Leverkusen.

The FC had an option for another year, but didn`t use it because Helmes said he wanted a new contract. While the management still believed that he would sign the new contract he signed in Leverkusen.

Because of that he was pretty unpopular with the fans for some time, but I think most fans have made peace with him when he continued to play good for us. Still what he did was pretty low.

Just imagine how good we would be if we had used that option.
Or how much money we would have gotten, if Leverkusen decided to buy him instead

Would have been nice to sell Helmes, but so much better to keep him.

with Helmes and Nova we would have had one of the best striker duos in the league.

But my hopes lie still with Ishiaku.

Unfortunately we won`t see him in this half of the season

You know what, I think we should try to get Sukuta-Pasu from Leverkusen.

We are in serious need for another striker and he has absolutely no chance to get past Kiessling, Helmes or even Gekas.

Also it would be nice to turn the tables for once and to steal a telented young
player from Bayer

Voeller said it didn't have much of a Derby atmosphere and the game needed to get rougher and tougher. But mainly they talked about Ballack and Loew. Also interviewed Meier about the idiot who threw the firework from the corner in the direction of the Leverkusen player. It exploded failrly close to him and I can imagine his ears are ringing.

The Bayern-HSV opener is the only Friday match they've done so far this season. :(
