Stephane Mbia has been linked to Everton. I'd just like to ask a few questions:

Is he a good player?

What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Would he do well in England?

Good player. Very strong and works much. He's not finished yet. He must play simplier.
Rennes needs him. They are playing the Intertoto Cup and are already losing much great players (Mensah, Wiltord, Briand...). They will not sell him for less 8M€. He can play in the midfield and every defensive place. He's vital for the team.

Yeah it seems that Rennes are collapsing. I'm sad to see it because I like them. Thats a problem with Ligue 1 is that teams cant sign a lot of foreigners like the EPL does so you have teams preying on each other to steal their best players and right now Rennes are the latest victims and its unfortunate to see a fine time like them being torn apart. Nice had a good season by their standards last year and they've been severly damaged since then with their player losses. At least Toulouse was able prevent French teams from taking 2 of its biggest guns(Elmander and Enama)who went abroad and we know Bordeaux wants Matheiu badly and thankfully Toulouse rejected their offer. Looks like they dont want any French teams getting their hands on Matheiu either. Bravo to them.
