The Master of the Tactical Foul!
You will be missed, Gilberto. Thanks for all the years of service and professionalism, something rarely seen anymore these days.

I'm pretty confident that this thread is going to give a severe beatdown to the Hleb thread.

Some of his last ditch sliding tackles were amazing, and something ill continue to emulate whilst i am a player (47 red cards for me to date :D)
So long G19!

And the Club give him his just due.
On Arsenal.com: "Gilberto completes transfer to Greek side Panathinaikos" "Gilberto leaves Arsenal - A Personal Tribute" "Farewell Gilberto - see the best of the Brazilian" "Gilberto leaves Arsenal - a picture special"
and then down below, in between, "Vela - the first interview" and "Ramsey and Vela in squad to face Barnet" we find the anti-Gilberto, Hleb, with a little line about his move. As it should be.
Let's celebrate those who gave so much of themselves to this Club. :)

Certainly less controversial....
I loved Gilberto, even though I was an original member of Edu's army, loved him as captain material, thought he was great as PK taker, and we'll miss him a lot. Quality guy.

Gilberto was quality, and I will miss him.
We should have hung on to him, his experience and leadership were vital to the club even when he wasnt playing the best.

You will be missed Gilberto. Most people scoffed and made fun of me when I included him in our squad for the Arsenal draft, but you don't win what he has won and earn the nickname of the Invisible Wall for being a crap player!
Good Luck Gilberto!

You beat me to this, but this was my fav moment of Bert. This is how captain is suppose to act, helping his new teammates, and fellow countrymen adjust to a new country. Bert could've easily been jealous of Denilson, thinking the little dude is here for my spot, but he showed him nothing but love.:)
