It's starting tomorrow in France, how come there are no threads on it here?
I remember last year when I was watching Iran's games it was pretty exciting. The games were usually high scoring and fast paced. Iran tied Portugal 6-6, lost against USA 9-8! after seeing 2 of our players red carded and beat Spain 1-0. I dunno much about the other teams other than that Brazil is unsuprisingly the team to beat.

If Beach Volleyball is an Olympic sport I don't see why Beach Football can't be one.

It's hard to take it seriously because they hold the tournament every year.

They're operating on a different scale.

This is the one time of year they try to garner a little attention.

I'm ok with that. It's an odd sport, but still...

Tonight on SportsCenter top 10 plays, 2 Spain bicycle goals were the top play.

Of course, the hosts had to muster enough excitement to make it through the footage. "The soccer is popular internationally," one host said to close their comments. Yes, he said "the soccer."

Indoor soccer, beach soccer and indoor football (American) are but novelties of the real sport. Fun to play and to view as a distraction, but not worth the attention as a professional league or major tourney.

ESPN showed the final today, it was a blowout by the Brazilians, but had some great goals.

LA should host it next!
