Yeah that would be odd. As you know ANY US sports bar would run a at least 1 TV on EVERY game just in case there was one schleep who wanted to watch that game. I guess the German version is to force you to watch the game THEY want you to watch.:o

Nah. They just show the Konferenz whenever Bayern or 1860 isn't playing.

Their loss. I would have spent plenty on beer and Buffalo Wings. My lady friend's place is just a short taxi ride away.

It doesn't bother me much. It just means I'll make an extra trip back down here to Garmisch to watch BVB on my TV.

Like I said, I'll stop in there when I arrive back in Munich after the BVB match to catch the early NFL game.

I'll wear my BVB-1860 friendship scarf and talk to them directly about catching Dortmund matches when 1860 and Bayern aren't on.......

Yeah, a while ago. We have no money to keep him and rumor is that other youth academys with deeper pockets are after him. I think we have a great program and I know the coaches there. They will do a soft sell about taking time to develop the youth, not put too much pressure on him, let him develop at his pace and all will come in time. Contrast that against the money likely to be thrown at him and it all comes down to what the family wants. I don't know anything about his family, but if they see $$ that is hard to pass up. But, if like Freddie Adu, the family is more cognizant that all good things come in time, then maybe 1860 does have a shot. We certainly have the facilities, are out of the limelight and he can develop in peace.

Actually I am serious. I think 1860's youth system scouts are some of the best in Germany. I cannot remember a weekend where I did not see at least one of them out and about looking at kids. Also, they have a very open door policy and DO listen to people when they suggest players. They are very approachable....unlike other teams in the neighborhood.:D

Check this out....I thought 1860 was having injury problems. Check out the Pauli injured list (under "Nicht dabei"). They have AT LEAST 4 defensive starters from last season out. Goufan's (http://www.fussballdaten.de/spieler/gouiffeagoufanmarc/2009/) red card last week did not help them either....they guy gets Y/R in his first match, sits a week and plays 10 mins, then gets straight red the very next game.:eek:

MUCH different demeanor than the last few weeks. Clearly less stressed than in weeks past. Basically said Sven Bender and Ghidvaidnze would travel but would be questionable given nicks picked up in training. Bender has the borken nose from last week. If Mate cannot play I think it will be a scamblefest in central.

Thorandt (3,5): Generous. Not sure he did much.
Ghvinianidze (4): Harsh. I think he had a decent match.
Berhalter (2,5): Agree...he did well and held things together.
B. Schwarz (3,5): Wow, when you compare the game Schwarz had to Thorandt, then clearly this rating is off. No way in hell these two had the same game.
S. Bender (4,5): Agree. He was off.
L. Bender (4): That that bad, but not too much better.
Johnson (4,5): Geesh, this is jut wrong. I would have said 3.
Bierofka (2,5): I thought he was good but not all that good.
