They raped me. Thats what they did

It seems the leather on the euero vapors is wayyyy to thick, and will never stretch. It hurts my toes to be in them.

Any suggestions on ways to fix this? I've already poked a hole through them (as you can tell) but no blood drained out.

Yummmy. My foot doc took a little drill and drilled a hole in my toe nail when I got something like that on my toes. Goto a foot doc is my only advice.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago. I waited it out, and eventually the toenail just fell off:

or.... maybe the euro vapors aren't in fact leather and they don't stretch?

No, they're definitely leather. The material is much thicker and has a very different feel that other vapors. Everyone who tried mine on said they didn't feel as tight

ah. there's been discrepency as to their material, and I appreciate your conformation that they were leather, as I hadn't actually heard one way or the other. hope all goes well for you and your toes.

I thought we cleared this up already?

The material used on the Euro's is a special synthetic used to act and feel like leather. It might stretch a little bit, but not as much as Full Grain, Calfskin, or Kangaroo would.

whoa wtf maaan, that's grusome! My toenail looks a bit further on from ctoa23's (its a bit uncanny how similar it looks to what mine looked like) in the re-development stage after wearing vapor's, took about 3 months to fall off!! Either see a specialist or wait for your nails to fall off, and get bigger boots!!!

I've never had that problem with any of my boots. I did get a little bit of pain in my toenails when i started to wear thinner boots like vapors/V1s but i think my toenails must have got tough!!

Never get them the perfect fit because your feet will just swell with the heat! I always go for a size, half a size bigger than my kicks.

Are you going to try and stretch the boots?

Just thought I'd quote this for emphasis.

When you run, your feet swell.

So buying boots that are already tight, or even a "perfect fit" is a bad idea.

I kind of disagree, but I do think it's kind of tricky to get the perfect game fit as there is no rule of thumb when it comes to soccer cleats. Especially kangaroo leather will conform to your feet and expand accordingly, so I'd definitely recommend a tight fit when trying shoes at the store for the first time. My Profis become quite loose during games as my feet sweat and the leather becomes very pliable, so a very tight initial fit is essential for a nice, snug fit during the actual game. The same story with my Mizuno Ghost Strikers, which at first were quite tight only to expand as I wore them. Had I gone for half a size up to feel comfortable at the first try, the boots would definitley be too big right now. That said, boots made of synthetic material may be a different story. I can imagine the Vapors don't expand as much as kangaroo boots so it might be wise to get a more comfortable fit from the start. All in all, I can't fathom why people torture themselves with plastic shoes for $200 when you have plenty of supremely comfortable cleats for half the price (or less) made of kangaroo leather such as the Profi, or the Copa, or quite a few Diadoras. Unless you're ten, it should be quite obvious to you the hype has nothing to do with comfort and quality.

Well, I also have a pair of adipures. I bought them in my size, and they stretched like crazy, even months after I bought them. Now they're too big, and wide. I still love them because of how soft the leather is, and how comfortable the boot is.

But I have extremely narrow, skinny feet. So, I thought vapors wouldn't give me any problems with blisters, cause it seems like the only kids getting blisters were wide feet. And I bought these as a perfect fit because every store has told me its a kangaroo leather boot, so it would stretch.

My understanding is that the Euro Vapors are only made to look like leather while in fact they're still synthetic. I'd take them right back to that store that told you they were kangaroo leather effectively misrepresenting their merchandise.

They are quite a few boots made of kangaroo leather that should fit you nicely. I'm sure the topic of narrow boots was covered in depth in the boot advice thread. If not, just ask for advice as there are many very knowledgeable members here. Off the top of my head, I'd recommend the Adidas Profi that runs quite narrow, but molds nicely to the shape of your foot. I think some of the Puma lines run quite narrow as well, but I don't have that much experience with Puma cleats.

the euro vapors are teijin microfiber designed to look, feel, and act like leather. i've worn them in games and they most definitley are not leather.
