BBC confirm the fee at 6.3m. I'm so disappointed to see him go. He was easily our best option as a lone striker.

I am going to miss Bobby Z. There was a kinda comfort about him in the team. You always knew that he would put in a good effort. I wish them both good luck.
Perfect fit for both players and it gives us another team to watch out for in the Prem.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I always liked Zamora for his good attitude, hard work and, at times, fancy footwork. Some of his play epitomised what West Ham is (or should) be about. Paintsil always got his name spelt wrong but he didn't seem to mind. Another favourite with the fans because of his good attitude. He put on one or two good shows towards the end of last season as well.

But despite these things we do have too many right backs and right wingers. Also the striking personnel needs to be revamped. It's just a shame they didn't go for Cole instead of Zamora. One plus side is the price. Apparently it's £6.3m for both players, possibly rising by another £1m based on appearances. If memory serves me correctly I think that's more than we paid for them.

I suppose the next question must be whether AC can now spend some money. Gudjohnsen's agent has stated that he doesn't want to play in Birmingham but would favour either London or Manchester. If he didn't fancy Man City then I am sure he would have signed for us by now, unless the BZ and JP transfer was hindering it. So I wonder if the possible Ronaldinho move to Man City was to swing Man City's decision on signing Gudjohnsen. It looks like he is off to AC Milan now so I think we may see Gudjohnsen sign for either us or Man City in the not so distant future.

We are also currently being linked with Joe Mattock of Leicester City and Valon Behrami (still) of Lazio.

Oops. I think Bobby let the cat out of the bag:eek:
"They are my club, always have been and always will be, but they need the money.

"Football is a business now and selling players is part of it."

Asked if he expected more players to be sold off, Zamora said: "I don't really know the ins and outs of what the club need to do but it is a possibility.

"I understand West Ham need some money but how much is anyone's guess."

From the statement put out when we accepted the bid, it seems they're viewing Dyer more as a forward option than a right wing option, which takes the number of right wingers down to two (Ljungberg and Faubert) with Dyer and Bowyer able to play there if both players are out. The real issue is we haven't shifted any of the high-earners like Dyer or Bellamy or Neill. I also do not understand how the Daily Mail can claim that Valon Behrami has invoked an Article 17 when he has to file it before the season ends.

The Daily Mail must have been talking crap again:

This transfer has been dragging on for too long IMV. Some reports are saying it will go through today.
