Arsene Wenger has been named Barclaycard Manager of the Month for August.
He is the only manager who has maintained a 100% record so far this season, winning all four games in August.
Past receipients of the award have been cursed, with the form of their respective teams going completely out of the window, so let's hope it doesn't affect us during September (especially with the visit to Old Trafford looming next weekend!).
The Barclaycard Awards Panel said: "Despite the focus of attention on their
west London neighbours, Arsene Wenger has shown the usual gritty
determination to leave others in his wake in August. There have been two big
summer signings at Arsenal, re-negotiating contracts with Pires and Vieira.
That done, things look very promising for the long season ahead."
