I just moved to Chicago and will need a bar where I can catch ALL of the arsenal games! Is there a place that will be open (even for the early games) and/or full with Arsenal fans? I know there are a good amount of people on here from Chicago so i figured i'd ask.

You should check out the Arsenal Pub Directory thread.

Best place in Chicago is The Globe -- an excellent soccer bar that is located on the north side. A Gooner hangout, good food, LOTS of tvs, always a good atmosphere.

I tend to go to a place called Fado's, which is not really a soccer bar, but you can also catch all the games. The site lines are lousy and food only so-so, but it's very close to downtown.

Best of luck. Cheers.

The Globe Pub

there are other places that will be showing the matches, so if you don't live on the Northside or live closer to somewhere else, anothe bar may be better for you. Send me a PM if you'd like

"Ditto all the above". The guy who runs it is called "GARY" and is a Brit Gooner. ("Roones 777" or something similar on these Boards). We had a great bash there a few years ago when the M.U. lot came up and we played football against them the day before, and loads of people from all across the USA flew in for that week-end. A great week-end, and a great pub. He opens all hours to accommodate the game times. :)

It was even funnier when Mr. Bill first came out in the late 70's.;)

I love The Globe in Chicago, but I have been to one other place on the northside as well...someone's tavern or something? Ginger's Ale House. That's it. Was rather meh.

Of the Globe-Nevada Smith's-Dark Horse trifecta, I still haven't made it to the Dark Horse in Philly.

probably was Ginger's. Jamie and Stuart used to be partners at Ginger's, but left to start The Globe in 2004 (damn, was it really that long ago, geez i've spent too much time there!). I've never been to Ginger's to watch a match, but it is a good place to get some beers.

Yup, that's the one. Much prefer The Globe footy wise though.
