Jeez, that's worse than the prototype at the top. Umbro are proving to be our worst home kit manufacturers since Bukta.

What's going on with the back of the kit? I don't care much for that "design".

It's their standard pattern for all kits. The away kit has it too.

Am I the only person who doesn't really buy home shirts? The first home shirt I laid my own money down on was the Centenary kit with the floppy collar. I bought the follow up shirt with the massive collar and no sponsor and haven't bought another home kit since. Since then, I have only really liked the 2001-2003 kit (the one we were relegated in with the round neck) and the last reebok home kit with the asymmetric sleeves (05/07, which we won the playoffs in) but I haven't bought either of them.

However, I liked both this year and last year's away kit and bought them both. In fact, I have every white away kit since Fila started manufacturing our kit in 1999.

The confusion over this was never resolved and I too can only see the picture I posted myself. Don't know what 'prototype at the top' Mikey is referring to.

However, I was a bit surprised that the club have released a new home kit after only one season with the other one. I also think it's a bit naughty. Usually we get about two seasons with the home kit and they change the away one each year. I bought last years Umbro home top and don't intend to spend another £40 buying this one.

Despite this I don't think it is hideous. All the claret and blue patterns have been done away with and this has left us with a basic claret with blue sleeves, close to the Fila which was a fans favourite.

I think it looks OK.

That's the link of the pic at the top.

Also, when Umbro took over, the club said they would shamelessly profiteer and release two new kits every year. I don't mind this with the away kit because that has always been more of a fashion item but changing the home kit every year is just unfair.

Oh and my problem with the new home kit is, again, they can't just have blue sleeves, they have to encroach onto the yoke. The neck is ugly and they have the shoulder section stitched onto the main body in an ugly, unnecessary way. It makes it look like they're using two tones of claret.
