Slavery is all about the will to do and not to do something. Wages no wages, if the will is not there, it is slavery.
Contracts are not divine. They are broken daily. You don’t like your phone contract, pay a little termination fee, throw the phone in the lake.You don’t like your wife, take her down town get a damn divorce. You don’t like your contract job. There may be arm twisting, penalties and shit, but you can always grab your laptop and tell them to kiss your behind. Any time you feel like you had a bad contract, got a better one or just don’t like it any more, you should be free to go.
When Fergie says Ronaldo will only leave over his dead body. That simply makes him a slave master. Unfortunately for him there may not be much he can do about this but enjoy the move. They say “if you can’t stop the rape enjoy it”
Speaking of breaking contracts, when he sold Stam, Becks, and Ruud, didn’t they have contracts? He even admits, they were sold because he wanted to. That is just plain primitive slavery. Maybe it is about time he tests the taste of his own medicine. You gotta give it to Wenger. He lets them go, whether he wants them or not. Of course wiz ze curse, but he is such a gentleman about it.
