Apparently we have signed a young Hungarian striker called Balint Bajner. The OS hasn't confirmed this so I suppose it's still just rumour:

There was another dude who popped up on our Wikipedia page who was called something like Filip Modelski, who was a young Polish player. These signing seem to be Nani doing his job.

There's also a 17 year old Austrian named George Glasser. The O/S don't seem to mention these signings.

Linked with Saha again:

The other day SAF was quoted as saying that he only has two strikers in Tevez and Rooney and this might make some room for Frazier Campbell. Sounds like Saha has been well and truly ousted. He certainly has the injury prone CV that we love in a player.
There is also a mention of young George Glasser at the end.

I heard on one of my Spurs boards that you guys are about to sign Stephen Appiah. Coming off a long injury, but very good signing if it works.

With the transfer window now closed what's everyone's feelings about who we have signed? Most fans seem to believe that we have only made one signing in Valon Behrami so here is a full list to the best of my knowledge:
Ins
Valon Behrami
Jan Lastuvka
Holmar Orn EyJolfsson (youngster)
Balint Bajner (youngster) (one year loan)
Herita Ilunga (one year loan)
David Di Michele (one year loan)
Walter Lopez (one year permenant)
...and...
Outs
Ljungberg
Ferdinand
McCartney
Solano
Paintsil
Zamora
Wright
Looking at these lists the first thing that strikes me is the apparent intention of signing more foreign players. Also there is an emphasis on signing young players who show potential before they become established and, therefore, expensive. Read into this what you will.
Our original suspicions about the board wanting to save money seem to have been proved correct with many of the bigger earners let go and the club accepting more or less any offers that came in. This could be construed as being a complete restructure for the good of the team, or something more sinister is afoot courtesy of our current board. I just hope that BG doesn't turn out to be worse than Brown.
Overall I am looking forward to seeing what some of these signings can do, albeit my expectations are not high. Also I hear that the club have confirmed they are still in talks with Stephen Appiah. Being a free agent we can sign him outside of the transfer window.
The only thing left is the tiny matter of employing a manager!! :o
