Just saw the pic of the concaves. Pure gimmick.

I dont see whats so different about them, they just look like a pair of f50's and a lot more plasticky at that (if thats even possible).

Right, I actually have felt and seen these in the flesh and I think they are crap! My friends dad went abroad to america i think it was and he bought these for his son. The leather is cheap, the plastic bit is COMPLETELY unflexible and the SG studs look like the £5 umbro boots (or flip fops more like lol). I do not think they are worth buying...

Forgot to mention, the studs are too flat and he didnt have a wincy bit of grip when we were playing football at school :p.

They remind me of a bad version of some Uhlsports and the Kelme Shark boot. The name meanwhile reminds me of Kate Hudson.

Again I do not know what boot you have seen.

I very much doubt that anyone has a pair of the latest production version as the people behind the company are simply not leaving any about anywhere as they are keeping it all hush hush till they launch. Even journalists have not been given any yet!!

So for someone you know who is not "connected" with the new company in anyway to be able to get a pair of boots for just for his son to kick around in would seem unlikely.

But a few facts;

1/ Concave boots have not been sold anywhere yet. So impossible for anyone to have bought them.

2/ Players that have played for their countries including England and Australia have tried them and say they are fantastic. Dalgliesh has put his name to them.

I have seen them in the flesh and their quality and materials are good...and the concave part is not at all as you describe and nor are the cleats (and various sole patterns are available anyway).

cause i know a guy in my team that has a pair of all red concaves.
i thought they were some shoddy brand of boots. that he used for training.
but a few wks lata i found that concave was a new brand of soccer boots on here and on SP

I am not writing him off. I just do not think that he or you have actually seen these new "Concaves" based on your descriptions. You may have seen one of the development protypes, but unless they are involved with Concave that would not seem likely.

However again...

1/ the boots are yet to go on sale. Where did he get his??

2/ Maybe there is another boot with a similar name???

3/ The only players that I have heard of wearing them are professional football players such as the Melbourne Victory Goalkeeper who have been testing or reviewing them. Does the guy you know fit such a description?

4/ The boot that will be in the shops has only become available recently (which is why it has not been sold yet). So until very very recently there were only proto-type boots (which naturally are not of production shopfront quality) available for a select few as the boot has been 8 years in the making to get it up to the stage that it is ready for sale ( I have not heard of any red ones. Only black). Of the new shop boots I have not heard of any all red ones either.

The first line of boots will be on the shelves at JJB exclusively in the UK this august.

.....and have not been sold anywhere prior.

Now I am not in England and so do not know JJB's reputation, but I have been told that JJB only stock 4 brands of football boots, and so Concave would be only their fifth brand.

So would JJB stock a "crap" boot?

Why would JJB want an "exclusive" deal for a crap boot?
