Let's get it rolling!

As always, I think we should start by noting that Hearts are a complete embarrassment to the game. Discuss.

i'm definitely going to have a punt on them getting relegated this season.

gotta love Romanov though. he does a quick share issue with his bank and suddenly a lot of Jambo's are in love with him all over again. meanwhile, the poor sods who actually still have shares at the club just watched them become even more worthless than they already are.

There is the ever present chicken/egg argument with Jambos--do only idiots remain, or were they always idiots?

check out that quote on the side from the fans' forum:D

and from an article on the bbc site, vlad:
He added that he is totally committed to Hearts and is sure that in the not too distant future the Edinburgh club will be Scottish Premier League champions.

who thinks hamilton accies will stay up?

i do. i honestly think Hearts are going to struggle big time this season and also StMirrentilIDie's tip - Killie.

and if james mccarthy will still be there in january?

hard to say. if he does well in the SPL then he'll possibly be gone. i don't think Hamilton are in a desperate need to sell him though so it's possible he'll still be there. also, from what i've heard he ain't the best at the club so other(s) may go before he does.

bad enough to be in a relegation battle?
if they get a decent enough manager in there, i don't think they will do that horribly.

that is one big if.

you've seen how much of a mess they've been in trying to get a manager so far. pre-season training has begun and they still don't have anyone in place.

no self respecting decent manager would go anywhere near Hearts with Vlad the Mad holding court.

Hearts finished 8 points ahead of Kilmarnock, the 11th placed team last season and that was with a pretty strong finish with Frail in charge.

no Gretna as a safety net this season.

i see where your coming from in that they will struggle, but i cant see a team with players like laryea kingston, andrew driver and christophe berra being relegated. if laszlo plays them, hearts should be able to get results against the killies and hamilton accies of the spl imo.

also, if Vlad doesn't get a chance to sell them before the end of August.

there is interest in all three.

ohh i wasnt aware, if they jump ship then yeah i agree with you.

if they get relegated it could be one of the biggest falls since leeds utd. 2nd place and the scottish cup, to the irn bru 1st division.

Aberdeen lost 2-0 at home to Man Utd today.

goals scored by Carrick from the spot and a Wayne Rooney header in the second half.

Consultants assess stadium sites

Two consultancy firms have been appointed to pinpoint a site for Aberdeen's proposed community stadium.
It is part of a feasibility study into the joint city council and Aberdeen Football Club (AFC) project.
Two sites have been identified for the development, the King's Links near the beach and Loirston Loch at Nigg.
The 22,000-seat stadium would provide a new home for Aberdeen. The project is expected to cost more than £50m and it is hoped it could be built by 2012.
The Arena project team said a specialist civil engineering firm and a transport planning company had been appointed.
Aberdeen City Council leader Kate Dean, who is a member of the Arena project advisory and monitoring board, said it was essential to fully investigate the suitability and, ultimately, deliverability of both sites.

Hey guys,

I noticed on myp2p that Celtic's preseason match against Southhampton will be playing....

My thing is the time is from 14:45 - 16:45, I understand military time which would be 2:45-4:45 here, my question is, since I have the time zone set to -5:00 (est-et), will the game come on for me at 9:45(w/-5:00), or will it actually come on at 2:45(w/o -5:00)??

I know that the question is confusing, I just don't know how to put it.
