Southampton today confirmed that their home match against the 'Pool on Saturday 30 August will now be shown live on Sky Sports with kick-off being moved forward to 12.45pm (UK time).

Southampton won the game at their place last season 1-0 with a goal from Stern John. However, for Blackpool fans the game will also be remembered for the heavy-handed stewarding when they removed a drum from Blackpool fans.

When Sky Sports announced their first batch of live matches up until (if I recall correctly October) Blackpool weren't to be featured, so it is great news.

Hoepfully the match will be available online too somewhere!

THe only downside is tHe kick-off time being 12.45pm will mean less 'Pool fans in attendance as Southampton is on the South coast and a long trip down from Blackpool. Of course there will be the usual southern based fans there from BASIL (Blackpool Supporters in London).

And now with Jermaine Wright signing for Blackpool today having been a surprising release by the Saints it adds spice to the fixture!
