I purchased a pair of Nike Total90 Strike FG's about a month ago, and they are absolutely killing my feet. The pain is in the ball of my foot, and I think it is caused by the cleats in the middle of the boot directly under the ball of my feet.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? If so, have you found a different pair of boots that are more comfortable?

you could try getting an insole with more cushioning in it, because the ones that come in that boot are pretty thin. I have the Strike Turfs, and had pressure in the same area of my foot. I got a pair of SofSole moldable insoles (link (http://soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=1005&pcount=&Product_Id=290476)) and they're perfect.
also... in the future, please use the Boot Questions thread rather than starting your own, it keeps everything much more organized around here.

Thanks for the reply. I've actually tried the sof sole athletes plus insoles, and only noticed a slight improvement. I may give the moldable ones a try, though.

I'd shave down those mid-studs/blades so they come in contact with the ground less than the other studs/blades. Just take off a bit at a time until you get the right feel for you.

I had the same problem. I just look for cleats without the middle stud. Bladed studs seem to work better.

I also have the same problem with the sole plate. Especially when the ground is really hard because the studs are pretty long.
I'll leave this thread open for now, but if you have got all the answers you need just let me know and ill close it as it should really have been posted in the boot questions thread :)

I'm not sure about this but you can try slicing the middle stud in the same way people slice their's to make their boots hybrid.
