Blackpool have appointed a new Chief Scout, Billy Dearden who was until May, the manager of Mansfield Town. He has worked at Bloomfield Road before when Colin Hendry was manager and Dearden was brought in as his assistant in 2004.
Dearden replaces Clive Richards who has joined Bolton Wanderers.
Dearden has a wealth of experience of the lower leagues in English football and considering our "tight budget" that should prove invauable in bringing in new players. Alex John-Baptiste who we just signed played under Dearden at Mansfield.
