Got the University team tryouts in 5 weeks and this is a team i really want to make. What should i do for prep?
I am trying out as a DM
My strengths:
Good touch
Good passer (better long range, but good short as well)
Good tackler
Decently good positioning
Weaknesses:
Pace (i have none)
Cardio (will be improved on i guess)
I'm bad at tryouts, i don't shine as a DM because a lot of the stuff i do goes unnoticed.
Help?

I am anything but an expert, but one suggestion I have for you is this: Forget the above statement. Put it out of your head. At a tryout, the last thing you should be thinking about is how unflashy and highlight-deprived your play or your position is. You should be thinking about playing as well as you know how, and performing whatever role you have been assigned. And then let the chips fall where they may.

Distance run daily along with intervals. You can't lack pace and fitiness and expect to be looked upon to highly by the coaches unless you have great skill.

It seems like they will be doing a complete medical after the select few have made the team, and they won't let me play with a torn meniscus. They won't even keep me as i would be out for another month after surgery.
Very unhappy about that.

if it goes unnoticed rthen you are doing your job dont try anything stupid and you'll be fine just do some more communication and maybe you'll get more noticed also if they dont notice you then do something out of the ordinary but not stupid so go up in an attack or have a pop from a long way out just so they see you more get them looking at you

That sucks i'm sorry man. Not to be mean but you have to look at it from their point of view. Why let a player join when he's injured, who knows you coud reinjure yourself and then be out for the whole season.
Make sure your knee is fit, practice over the year and tryout again next season.

Yea, i'm not angry with them, i understand completly, i would take a similar stance. It's for the best anyways, this will let me recover, condition and let me get used to University life before i walk into the first team

if you are lucky like me the team i am trying to get into has lost alot of players so it should be very easy for me to get in also unlucky man thats gotta suck balls
my team that i am trying for has lost the chairman (got a new one) a manager (got two new ones) and basically the whole first and U18s teams also alot of reserve players good for me but not for the team

Exactly. If nothing really happens in your area, that shows that you're doing good. A good coach will know that you're working good to stop anything before it happens.
Of course there might be opportunities to make a tackle and make a brilliant run down the pitch, but don't stress out, and just play your game.
