Well they signed the coach who won Euro 2008. La Liga's top scorer last year (Guiza) is also on the way. Turkey did very well at the Euros. Could we see a deep run by them in this years Champions League ?

They have a good squad. I think if they continue to performance that they had last season, they can continue to success in the European Cups journey no doubt.

Theyr current squad is strong and they are gonna add few more players.

Squad wise we have what it takes, I mean, the only players we lost since last year's CL qtr final run are Mehmet Aurelio (defensive mid, huge loss), and Serdar Kulbilge (2nd GK, another big loss), and we brought in Guiza as the new ST and Emre as the new CM, plus Burak Yilmaz (ex-Besiktas RM/ST), along with a DM/CM soon to be transferred. Zico is gone but as long as the players have the same flair, we shouldn't have a problem. Aragones isn't really a step down from Zico, anyway.

I think the Turkish teams are all good in the flair department, as seen in the Euros.

Aside from that, Alex is getting better with age (he's 30 now) unlike other CAMs, and our strikers Semih Senturk, Dani Guiza, and Kezman shouldn't have problems scoring once Alex goes on assisting sprees.

Still, hoping to avoid any and all groups of death in the CL...

Yeah, Alex is amazing. Definitely my favorite player of all time. Less than 200 games, more than 100 assists, about 95 goals, all for Fener. He could bring a chair to every match and sit all game for all I care, as long as he's present, we play 100% better.
