Out of the players mentioned and considering both importance to his team as well as quality i'd have to say Scholes. He is a brilliant player and his importance is often underestimated. His qualities are undeniable. I think Ballack and Pirlo could be even better though, but they aren't part of the poll!?

I'd say Pirlo, Ballack, Fabregas and De Rossi are currently the best, and none of them are options in the poll, therefore this thread sucks.

That guy ArgentineFutbol who made the very last post from before Twix's bump actually called it pretty well insofar as all of those players are doing quite well for top teams.

I wouldn't say they're the top 5 but yes, guy has a good eye for talent... Those players were not all very well known in Nov. 2004.
