Wenn Borussia ab heute (Sonntag) im Trainingslager in Bad Lippspringe Quartier bezieht, ist es für die meisten eine Reise in die gar nicht so weit zurück liegende Vergangenheit.

How do you think you'll do this year Uwe?

I hope we'll do well ... what means spot 15 in the end. I'm realistic enough to know that it won't be easy to keep the league ...
Regarding the team structure, I see many parallels to the KSC of last season ... what makes me optimistic that we'll manage to reach our goal! In contrast to the season 2006/2007, we have a real team again.
And we have a (young) "Fußballgott" who could make the difference to other teams. :-)

One other reason for optimism is that the home support will be fantastic. We have already had a record sale of season tickets. Given the larger size of the stadium compared with the old Bokelberg days, the team should also be doing well financially, which also means that adjustments to the team at the mid-season winter break will be possible and affordable. It is one reason the team was able to come back to the 1 BL in just one year this time. They had the money and the fan support. Some teams will not have that luxury. I am hoping for a spot between 10th and 13th.

That's right.
I thought that Christian & Jos would sign 1-2 more players this summer (an experienced RB and an offensive midfielder) ... but it seems that they trust Tobias Levels & Sebastian Schachten and Sascha Rösler, Sumaila Coulibaly & Alex Baumjohann (a big talent) on these positions.
Here's our current squad for next season:

I'm curious whether we'll change the 4:4:2 system to a 4:2:3:1 or 4:3:3 after Gal Alberman's signing. He and Patrick Pauuwe could become our midfield core ... but they probably can't play together in a 4:4:2.

Thanks for the posts there Borussia. I was wondering when the schedule would be available as I'll be in the area in September, but unfortunately there isn't a match.

I wonder if there are still rumors of Michael Bradley joining BMG. If so, what more convenient way to evaluate a player than to play him in a friendly :)

The only home match in September is either on the 19th or 21st (against Hertha Berlin).

No, there aren't. Don't think it would be realistic to get him...

Yep, we'll play a friendly against his club soon.

Luhukay hails new signings
The 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion was Borussia's fourth win in four pre-season warm-up games. Purely from a results point of view, then, they seem to be on the right track.

Btw: Sebastian Schachten got injured again (he'd been injured for almost the whole last season) and will be out for 4-5 weeks.
http://www.borussia.de/de/borussia_news_detail,185,0,newsid-162378.html
Since Tobias Levels is pretty unexperienced and as I don't want to see Steve Gohouri on this position (although he's been tested here lately), I hope that Christian Ziege is going to sign a RB as soon as possible!

Welcome, dear Fohlen mate! It's always nice to see Gladbach fans around the world. :)
Btw: Are you on THIS (http://www.borussia.de/en/contacts,118169,0.html) list, too?

I haven't registered yet, but I heard that it works well so far.

It's not live, but I think it's worth investing the € 5 per month.
