OOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOD....What a nice job by marin:eek:

1 up so far!

Didnt last long! we just cant get it together..so sad, another mistake and amateur playing by our team:(

Sad to say,but seems like eintracht is gaining more control over the game as the clock is growing!

Well if hans meyer cant come up with a way to organize this team as a unit...am not sure who can, horrible game...we just where all over the place:(

We're the slightly better team so far, but this pathetic defending on the wing against Korkmaz costed us the half-time lead. The result is fair in my eyes, since both teams missed 1 huge scoring opportunity. Can't believe that Baumi didn't score from the chance just seconds before half-time...

Marin is the best player on the pitch, it seems he's very motivated against the club which thought he'd be too small for becoming a good player...

Eintrachts attack with Fenin, Korkmaz & Liberopoulos is very dangerous, so we have to avoid running in their counter-attacks after the interval.

Not sure what to say,am upset and tired! our team is in bad shape..specially from a mental stand-point! its hard to shake situations like this off..one thing i could tell tho, hans meyer really loves gladbach and you can see he really cares about this team!
I also noticed our team does not play with 100% hunger..and we dont look like a team that must fight for every single point..who knows whats happening inside gladbach..but we sure dont fight and show the intensity you expect them to bring to the pitch!
And the one million dollar question again, why isnt cola playing???
So here we are losing another 3 vital points at home to a lower-table team...oh well
cest la vie i guess:(

Naz, they try to fight ... but it looks like there's no passion because they always get tired after the interval. The guys seem to have physical deficits, that can be the only reason for the fact that we regularly fail to create pressure in the 2nd half.

Our defending is pathetic (the 2nd Eintracht goal after a free-kick was typical) and our attack is lame like a duck! And those few chances, we get, are missed miserably.
I feel sorry for Marko Marin who tried everything ... but his team mates simply lack quality. I still can't believe how we could play that well against a top team like Werder on matchday 3...

Losing 4 of 6 home games is deadly, concerning our away weakness. Now we're playing in Bielefeld, then we face Bayern and Schalke. If we don't win our next away game (at least we have a good record against Arminia in their stadium), the lights could turn off even before the winter break (which is Hans Meyer's big hope). :(

Quo vadis, Borussia?

And the one million dollar question again, why isnt cola playing???

After another huge scoring opportunity missed by Rob tonight (wtf did he try to stop the ball instead of shooting from close range?), it's really time to bring Colautti in Bielefeld!

Btw: Our home support is dropping continuously (like the team's performance). The 3,500 Eintracht fans clearly rocked the stadium after the 1:1 tonight, what is a confession of failure for the Nordkurve! I knew that our away fans are better than those at Borussia-Park ... but the increasing apathy among the fans in the Nordkurve is as shocking as the team's peformance.

You have a point,i agree we dont have physical power to develop constant pressure..seems like the field is bigger for us..or we are one man down and we have to struggle to perform?? If we can see it..am surprised how the experts cant see it,besides there is no option..what are we going to do??change the entire squad, quite frankly we are just good for a few bursts and it always dies and fades away....and yes the 2nd goal was another gift wrap we give to opponents on a regular basis and we are good at it!
Good luck winning against shalke and bayern..we are just not bundesliga level at the moment!
I like how voight plays, with attitude and pride...but he has a huge problem..he makes stupid fauls in areas which are not necessary and are dangerous..just like how he set up the 2nd goal

Good idea. :-)

I still think that we don't have less quality than a few other teams ... but for some unknown reasons, we simply don't manage to prove that (except for the Bremen game) at the moment. I thought that Hans Meyer would be able to give new confidence to the guys ... however, it seems there's too many deficits (especially both fullback positions) in order to be solved within a short period of time. Our only hope is to reach the winter break without having a larger gap to spot 15 ... so Hans can make some changes after the preparation and sign 1 or 2 new players!

Today, he started with a more offensive line-up (Baumjohann for Bradley) ... as we see, it didn't work though.

Have a nice day/evening.

I thought they created some major pressure in the second half. None of our players could go anywhere with the ball without a gladbach player on his feet...
Gladbach just failed to create seious chances up front...
Just as our players failed to use the last 30 minutes for some good counter attacks.
I think either team could have scored more goals with just some cleverness...

I feel sorry for Marko Marin who tried everything ... but his team mates simply lack quality.

Thats true, he looked great today!
What a shame that we let him go back then...

the lights could turn off even before the winter break (which is Hans Meyer's big hope). :(

Naaa, even if you dont win the next games, Cotbus, Bochum and Bielefeld are so bad this season, they wont be far ahead for winter break...
I think Gladbach will manage the turnaround eventually. (just look at us, 3 weeks ago we were right where Borussia is now)

Thats true, I was really dissapointed. You have such a nice stadium, whith great accoustic and they dont make any use of it...
Plus that "Stadionsprecher" must be one of the most rediculous ones in the whole Bundesliga... I hate it when these guys think they must act like they are the center of everything. "Bla Bla Nordkurve, are you there?" and all that shit...

But Im beginning to like that song of yours... "Döpp döpp döpp dödödöpp..." :D

Let's hope so (although I think that Bochum is better than KSC). But if you have a look at our next games before the winter break, you know how serious the situation is (of course, Hans Meyer knows it too):

Arminia Bielefeld - Borussia M'gladbach
Borussia M'gladbach - Bayern München
FC Schalke 04 - Borussia M'gladbach
Borussia M'gladbach - Energie Cottbus
Borussia M'gladbach - Bayer Leverkusen
Borussia Dortmund - Borussia M'gladbach

6 points are an absolute MUST to finish with at least 13 points (I suppose we'll need 31/33 p. for spot 16/15 in the end), but it won't be easy to win even the games against Bielefeld & Cottbus in our current shape. Hans Meyer was quoted that there's a huge mental problem after a lag, so it seems that some players obviously can't cope with the pressure of having to win...

What a nice birthday gift they made to their manager tonight (Hans Meyer is getting 66 tomorrow)...

The problem this season is that the Ultras left Block 16 (directly behind the goal) and positioned in the upper tier. There's no "Capo" with megaphone (I saw many of them in your block tonight - but well, you're known of having the best Ultras scene & best organized away support) in front of block 16 anymore ... so the organization / coordination between all sectors in the huge Nordkurve got worse. And you know, most non-Ultras need some kind of animation from a "Capo" in order to start singing over a longer period of time (especially when the own team plays badly).

So you'll only enjoy a good atmosphere at BP if the team is playing well and has a lead. And that's pretty ashaming for a huge fanscene like BMG! At least we're among the best away fans (despite mostly losing on away grounds)...

Gute N8

ouch! That does look pretty bad...
reminds me of the 99/00 season when we finished the Hinrunde with 9 points and, (with Magath) still made it in the end... everything is possible! ;)

Yeah, I think its a typical situation tough. our home support has been crap aswell lately. Seems like most people nowadays only go to a stadium to be entertained rather then being a part of it all... :/

No I didnt bring my camera. But I took plenty of pics the last time (http://aeppler.wordpress.com/2005/12/18/gladbach/) I was there ;)

cheers and good luck for the rest of the season except matchday 28!

Well you totally expect a prof.team thats playing at home and also struggling for every point, with a new coach(which has positive history with he club as well) show some fight and intensity...and thats just the least being said.So how we tried to take away space from frankfurt players...and our constant presense was the minimum we could do considering our situation! But i also couldnt exactly place the problem, but Uwe said it well..we do really look out of condition physically and lack the physical power to maintain enough pressure in all areas of the field!

Am also really worried if things remain the same,a player like marko marin would have every right to leave gladbach ..and search better outfits, another sad part of gladbach history specially in the past 15 years and losing all our quality top-notch players:rolleyes:

We need a mental coach or sport psychologist.
We need a caoch, who lets playing by a 4-2-3-1 with offensive wingback.
We need player who thinking attacking and not to persecute opponents.

Easy or not ?:)

Well luckie

I have 100% confidence in hans-meyer,he has the experience and he was the best choice for us..but even when JL was our head coach you could see how some of our players dont perform 100% or they dont care much and our defensive mistakes in every game is a whole different story..unfortunately no coach in the world can fix that ,end of the day the players must play the game not the coaches, the players must feel the need to win and dominate , i sure hope we can bring some positive out of the remainder of the season and collect some points :ob4 the winter break..because b4 u know crunch time will show up and end of the season will close-up on us!
Clearly we are not functioning as a unit and our next few games are tough ones, todays game was very important for us..too bad we lost,it could have given us some security blanket
